Prog Corner posted a video about hating the 80s, ha ha. I didn't mind the 80s but not one of my favorite decades for music, except for Sparks, U2 and a handful of other artists. Most heavy metal or hard rock I wasn't a fan of, except for early Black Sabbath and Motorhead.
@morrisgautreau67042 сағат бұрын
For a heavy metal fan, it was a great decade, because of the 'Metallica', 'Megadeth' and so on... I did of course also liked Black Sabbath and Motorhead and will be getting those too, eventually. I feel like it's the music we liked in our teenage years that is the most special and influential. At least it seems that way for me.

It is so easy to list bands of musical genders that you don't like. The real thing is to list bands you don't like from genders you love. By the way, BABYMETAL is FANTASTIC. Nothing to see with any gimmick, it is Metal fusion. It is a breathe of fresh air in the metal gender, and a good kick in the ass.

Maurice Gautreau just said hooray for boobies! And with that I can go back into hibernation until 2026, when hopefully something else equally weird and wonderful might, or might not, happen! I actually have that album myself. Hooray for boobies really encapsulates the souls of us men, it's the secret wish that animates all of our hearts, we all hope that boobies might fall into our lives, or - even better - that we might fall into them. Thanks for that Rockaby Tool heads-up, I might check it out myself. I love your channel. Never stop doing what you do. Happy New Year for 2025!

Hope you feel better, Morris! The strangest album I’ve heard is Broken Ear Record by Black Dice. Even the cover is strange. You should pick up some Animal Collective CDs next time you’re at your record store! They are definitely weird but also have some super catchy songs as well. The albums I’d start with are: 1. Merriweather Post Pavilion 2. Strawberry Jam 3. Centipede Hz Once you get into those, you’ll get into all of their music.

I think a lot of people are worried that nobody would watch their videos when they first start out being a creator and to be fair that will be the case for some people, but being consistent and talking about something you care about definitely does go a long way. For me personally, I hit 100 subs this year which I just didn't expect to happen and so I'm going through my 100 favourite albums as a result. But even beyond that I've had videos hit 1k views which blows my mind because although yes that's a small amount in the grand scheme of things, it's still 10x the amount of subs I have, and those videos will keep getting views as long as they're up. What I wonder is how you manage to find things to talk about in videos so often. I've made about 40 videos as of now, most of which are very simple ideas about bands, artists and releases over the years. I can't imagine creating 300 videos in a year though because I just can't see myself having that many good ideas.
@morrisgautreau67049 күн бұрын
It's not easy coming up with new ideas, but I actually like the challenge. As long as you keep it personable and positive, you can talk about almost anything. And, don't be afraid to steal a good idea from other KZbinrs every once in a while. As long as you can make it in your style and still keep it true to you. That's what I do! Remember the more quality videos you can make, the faster you'll grow. Congrats on your small success, each view and sub are victories.
