Learn to feel people out if you value their friendship/company (Feel free to launch in to your opinion full-bore if you don't). Steer clear of contentious stuff unless/until you know it won't cause issues (this is usually when the relationship is more established). Bear in mind that she will have been propagandized and you should consider how much you have been too. Take everything with a pinch of salt in the modern world. Also remember people are not their government.

@@chaos.corner Good points. I didn't initially realize that what I was saying was getting to her to that extent. Had I known I would have stayed clear of it since I didn't want to affect our friendship or make her feel bad the first night that she arrived. It was just hard to believe how she could have that standpoints and I wasn't expecting it so I was eager to find out...

Well, if I can give some advice, it would be not to make a politically charged video like you just did, while at the same time you tell us 'why you shouldn't discuss politics.' It's really counterintuitive what you are doing here (unless that was your goal, of course).
@KenDevo15 күн бұрын
@Weda01 Maybe I should have titled it why you shouldn't discuss it at the dinner table or with friends, but that's a bit long...
@Weda0115 күн бұрын
@@KenDevo Another title would have been helpful. If you prefer not to change the title, I would personally have attempted to convey the message using more generalities or hypothetical scenarios. This approach would focus more on the topic at hand (avoiding political discussions) rather than turning it into a personal political message. Just a tip.
@KenDevo13 күн бұрын
@@Weda01 OK, I've taken your advice. You would be interested in a more general video on this subject?
@Weda0112 күн бұрын
@@KenDevo Sure, not specifically on this subject necessarily but in general, if it contains politics, try to make it a generalization. The most popular channels are the ones that keep their personal politics out unless you specifically want to be a political channel, then it's another story.

Incredible work. How much total weight did you lose? I realise not all will be fat, but considering how lean you were even before would be great to get a breakdown!
@KenDevo3 ай бұрын
2.5kg as measured in the morning. I still fasted until 5 pm that last day but drank liquids so couldn't measure again. By now I've recovered the weight, but that was my goal.
@Coppit3 ай бұрын
@@KenDevo Thanks for taking the time to reply, I did think it would be difficult to keep it off - even if that wasn't the goal - due to maintaining that kind of body fat % is wild. Great video!
@KenDevo3 ай бұрын
@Coppit Yes, the body seeks homeostasis, and a lot of the weight is water, though if you know your base metabolic rate you can know how much fat you'd lose per day approximately which is about 90% of the deficit. One pound of fat is +/- 3,500 kcal. I think keeping some fat off is relatively easy, but my maintenance weight used to be 87 kg so I didn't want to stay at 81 kg for long as I'm already at a lower baseline of 83 kg for about a year.

Personally the l lifestyle and environs in Cancun-Tulum area is not for me, México is a huge country with much better options in the west coast like PV area, Guadalajara or central México witch cities with much better quality of life. Sounds like you only travel around Cancun area with the exception of Chiapas. Good luck in Dubai which seems to me more of a resort like type of life which is kind of fake somehow. I've been living in Puerto Vallarta for 15 years now as a Permanent resident and never really came across much violence or felt my life was at risk. I am very surprised to hear these experiences about Cancun and the Area. Vallarta is very tranquil, but stuff still happens in the barrios that tourists don't hear about. My rule of thumb of Mexico was keep a low profile financially, don't involve your self with shady people or people that have ties to certain groups of people, and don't make yourself a target for things to happen to you.

As a tourist who's gone to Mexico four times, I would agree at least in my experience, going to the tourist spots/places to stay I didn't feel in danger at all. Cancun, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Cabo, I felt safe and I was going out at night too. I did my research and basically stayed in the good neighborhoods and didn't have any interest in going out to 'little known places.' I can totally understand if you started living there and, especially started to try to make a business etc, you can raise your profile.

Funny thing, I came from Europe to US and one annoying thing for me, 20 yrs later is that you and me might talk and you will say, let's meet up tomorrow or let's do something. To me that means, we made agreement, and you will go out of your way to convince me that this would actually happen, when in reality you never intended to do any of that. I am in Chicago, I heard that in LA is even worse, one of my friends came back and he couldn't endure this kind of bullshit. Anyhow, people not being able to honor what they say is beyond annoying and you just stop respecting them and taking them seriously. I got to a part where you same you are as well... well you understand it then.

I have not made it yet to the end of the video, but to give my two cents of exp: i think friendships in diff countries REALLY become invaluable when BOTH parties ( me & the other friend) are foreigners. For me that was when i went to Spain for a semester when i was 20 and made 3 very close friends there - and we were all exchange students struggling to find a community in this different country. (Korea, Canada, England, France) So yeah... its wierd to think that i might not have been friends with them if I were in their country or them in mine..sorry for the long blabbering lol

I feel like I never got back on track from the tangent before it was time to wrap up the video because I arrived at the gym 😅 but it's by reviewing these that I learn and hopefully improve over time. Anway, my advice is: 1. For almost anyone it's a good idea to start a KZbin channel provided you have the interest and time to do so. 2. It's a good thing to casually dip your toe in to get a feel for things while keeping your options open. 3. Although basically any job inckudes tedious work sometimes, strive to do something you're passionate about rather than doing things just for money, even if you're passionate about money 😁
