Team Fullsterkur is back in the 2024 Seventy48. We got knocked out in 2023 at 52 miles in. After camping on Blake Island we were on plan to overnight again at Hansville at the 52 mile point. We battled a nasty northerly that blew in late in the day but reached Hansville on schedule. However the winds continued to build and we elected to withdraw at that point know ing we could haul the boat out a this point vs getting pinned down else where on the course. We learned that in this race, if you have the weather, you need to GO!

Love my blue sup for rowing on Lake Huron. I don't think I would get as many rowing days in with the racer, although the speed does look fun!

Hi! Love the video. Question. I noticed you had (what I would call) surf fins. Bit surprised as I would think a more "straight" fin would help with tracking. Are the fins interchangeable on the oar boards?

Hi John, great question! 💚 The Oar Board Combos arrive with a longer, harder fin that is great for deeper water. But, Oar Board also has what they refer to as a Flex Fin that works well, and most importantly it can carry the weight of the boards. With a Flex Fin you can row right up to the shore and drag your board with the Flex Fin attached. I've heard that they are currently testing a longer, larger Flex Fin that may be available soon.

@@AWorldOfAdventureAwaitsYou Love the idea of the Flex Fin. Even though I tend to go from sand beaches(Los Angeles) I walk the board out to knee-deep water(so I don't bottom out the fin). Keep up the videos and the innovation!
