This video is very deceptively edited. They make it seem like the crux is pitch 2 but it's actually pitch 6. And there are two pitches in between that and the splitter he talks about.

I am so disappointed by the stretch panels @:24. I should have done more research before buying. Makes me feel uncomfortable that it might rip off in a year or so. or might not be as warm as it should have been without the panels.

How do you pack it? From the inside? From the outside? Will the zipper withstand this process? No instructions included with jacket. Don’t want to break it figuring it out.
@alinabagu962810 ай бұрын
Nope, couldn't pack a vest in its own pocket. Looks like it is going to burst. 😢

The first time I heard of Katie Lambert was photos of her climbing difficult lines on the granite domes of Tuolumne meadows,Yosemite.Later I watched the video of Katie and Mason Earl climbing Moonlight Buttress in Zion.She's such an amazing climber.So many strong women climbers today.Not like in the early 1980's.

the only man who climbed Everest for the western sides of M.Everest is Stipe Bozić - Yugoslavia in 1989. everything else is a lie.

I have the new one and I do not think that the outer shell is the same and it’s down in fill power by only 50 I tried it in windy 🌬️ day at like 6 degrees weather reported feels like -17 and I had on tee shirt and a adidas sweatshirt and I was just fine warm but not sweating 😓 this is the best jacket so far and I bin threw many I have research similar jackets with more fill and Technology but they cost hundreds more for the same warmth 🫡

The sherpa is a chronically underappreciated force in the world outside of climbing. "So and so climbed everest what a great thing to do" meanwhile the sherpa is reattaching guide ropes in fresh debris, humpingba backpack full of oxygen for the white guy he's dragging up there. I know it's more nuanced and getting better recognition wise, but howbcan you not be in awe of these supermen?

Here in the Pacific Northwest where mountains are easily available many people are weekend mountaineers. You don't have to climb eight-thousanders to be a 'mountaineer'.
@Nuttyirishman852 жыл бұрын
They are more hills in the field of mountaineering. I climbed Rainer at 14 and it was a walk in the park. Start going a little higher than double that height and it’s incredibly challenging.

Seems like a very well thought out pack. I appreciate the way it was presented. I feel it helps in making a purchase decision even if I haven't seen it or held it in person.

I don't know how Hornbein and Unsoeld managed to walk with those colossal cojones. One of the greatest, if not THE greatest, climbs in mountaineering history.
