A question please: is it only applicable to fractions having denominators ending with '9'? Because 1/19, 1/18, 1/17 and 1/ 16 will yield the same result which is not true.

SIMRAN KUMARI, Thanks for viewing the video. For 1/49, please follow the same method. So 4+1 = 5. 5 is the divisor. 1/5=0 with remainder 1, which become 10 10/5=2 remainder 0 2/5=0, remainder 2, which becomes 20. 20/5=4, remainder 0 4/5=0, remainder 4, which become 40 40/5=8 8/5=1, remainder 3, which becomes 31 31/5=6 And so on... 0.020408163265306... Sorry for the very late response. You mean 1/29? If so, please elaborate a bit where you are not able to follow. You start dividing 1 by 3 and the quotient is 0 and Remainder is 1. Take the Remainder 1 and put before the 0 to make 10. Divide 10 by 3. The Quotient is 3 and the Remainder is 1. Place the Remainder 1 for 3 to make 13. Now divide 13 by 3. The Quotient is 4 and the Remainder is 1. Place the remainder 1 before the 4 to make it 14. Divide 14 by 3. The Quotient is 4 and the Remainder is 2. Place the Remainder 2 before the 4 to make 24. Dive 24 by 3. and so on... Hope this helps...
