Years has passed since I got graduated from music school, for many reasons I didn't have much chance for keep studying jazz and listening back to this performances gives me the inspirtation needed to go back to practice and sooner or later I know I'll be able to play this tunes and solo as you guys did here, love this whole presentation with kurt, every time I hear it its just amazing! Excuse me, but if you don't mind, I’d like to ask you a question: When you were starting your journey with jazz and were undoubtedly immersing yourself deeply in learning, did your practice include learning note-for-note transcriptions of solos performed by the great masters? Was this one of the fundamental elements of your education?
