the full name of the anime in Japan is Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters, and Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters GX. They had to do this because what we call Season 0 could not possibly have been called Season 0. The card game in Season 0 made absolutely no sense and is one of the worst games to play irl. Konami fixed it.

I think the funniest part is how Manjome Thunder wasn't actually a thing until North Academy; Jun wanted to be treated with respect, so he tells people to call him "Manjome, sir" ("Manjōme-san da!"), but the North Academy students thought he was saying "thunder" (confused it with "sandā", which is a Japanese way of saying Thunder) and rolled with it, and by the time Jun came back to Duel Academia, the phrase just stuck.
It's hilarious how many worse versions of Waboku they made, just to avoid using the vastly better trap.
