Looking at one of these for furniture hauling and deliveries. It’s a passenger one though. I’ve been doing this for 4 years in my F250 but in the wet season a covered van will be more convenient.

Beware of trackers within packages that can pick up movement, if you get into an accident the package has to be in the right place strapped down per insurance, also buttholes looking at you via camera that will rat you out. It's America brother, your guilty until proven innocent. 😮 (semi trailers have cameras in the rear for this type of thing.)

@@Mr3gfunk I see what you’re saying, thanks for the advice. But im not really worried about it. That might’ve been the biggest box I carried in the front. Everything else were small enough to fit in your hand. Small package but heavy, will definitely be strapped down. That box was actually 10 pounds per airport info.

subscribe to your channel last week and watched a couple of your videos yesterday I put the trigger and got me a van I used to live in New York work for the city for over 20 years now I live in Florida and I'm also disabled going to start with my wife she's also excited

*just get a small box truck. i have a chevy Express 3500 with a box instead of a van. it's 12ft box truck that serve just like a cargo van except its a little bit bigger so tall pallet is no problem and the GVWR is 9,900 so i don't need to worry about DOT or weigh station. it's basically a cargo box truck.*

@@Tewthpaste yes! I know exactly what you’re talking about. I think they are called cutout or cutaway box truck. Didn’t know that these can be registered under 10,001 lbs. interesting!

Have you ever thought about getting a cargo trailer to have ready if you needed more room than your van? Is your van a V8 or V6?

@@THE_NGCV Just make darn sure that your van is set up to tow. Check what your max towing weight is FIRST before buying a particular size trailer. Also might consider installing an aux transmission cooler.

If the pallets are of standard size, you can tell them to load it side ways

@@yomisonde128 standard size pallets fit straight in no problem. The problem with this load was that it was 3 pallets total. Two were too high so we had to break all down.

@@sarge.in.charge thank you so much! That’s exactly what i want to bring for people. MOTIVATION! You saw it for yourself. 90 to 95% of loads are small enough to fit in a standard size cargo van and that idiot told me that my van was no good for the job and that i had to trade it for a high roof. Thats when i started to make videos. Stay motivated my friend and make it happen. 👍🏽👍🏽 i will keep these vídeos coming for you guys.

Can you fill us in on how exactly pay is calculated? Do you have a base pay on the cargo (based on weight/material, etc) + the amount of mileage you're transporting? Or is it just mileage alone? And does your brokerage provide you with load details/pricing statements when you get paid for your loads?

@@Lil_keith sure, so pay is based on mileage. The way it works is, anything up to 300 miles they pay up to $1.20 a mile. Anything over 300 miles they pay up to $0.90 a mile. But….i have gotten up to $2.00 a mile sometimes more for loads less than 300 miles. I’ll just throw a bid in and most times i get it. They pay $25.00 to $50.00 extra if you have to offload stuff by hand or what they call “driver assist” And yes, they provided you with load details and a statement with pay info but through text message which i always save.

Question. I just signed up with Fox Carriers.I live in Texas.What rate per mile that you suggest to bid to win more loads?

@@djjohnson8138 to have a good chance on a load, if you see a load thats 475 miles and you like it, try to bid $450 for it. Try not to go too low. Usually they want to pay $0.90 a mile over 300 miles but i used to try to stay close to $1.00 when a did OTR

I do but i am working under someone else’s authority so i dont need mine. Insurance is commercial $1,000,000 combined single limit with $100,000 cargo.
