Yeah, the counterpoints Ive seen so far do not display an understanding of teh critique. At all. They argue against points that were not made.

@@monkeibusiness 10k hours in ARPG's over the last 25 years. 3k of them in POE1. I think I'm able to argue what is a good and bad game, and what I enjoy or not. Given very objective feedback on the POE forums, but the "Get good" elites are spamming down anything that could remotely be considered negative. As if we somehow have a good and balanced game week and a half into a beta. We DEPEND on fair criticism to make POE2 good. If they are so terrified of parts of the game getting faster or more streamlined, advocate for two or more game modes, or go back to Ruthless in POE1. I'd rather have a game that's enjoyable for the broad gamer base, than a nichè product for a few elitist ones.

@@kjetilknyttnev3702 saddest part is, those difficulty enjoyers missing a simple fact, that eventually honeymoon phase would end, and a lot of ppl would be quiting (maybe even the author of this video, cuz as he said answering another comment he aint even reached act 3, not even saying about maps). The less people means - weaker economy, and with current horrendous droprates and bassicaly non existent crafting this would be an actual tragedy.

@@leonass305 The litmus test will come on a 3-4 weeks when the majority of the campaign enjoyers are done with said campaign, and the endgame players have reached endgame maps and one-shot hell. At the same time POE1 will release another league. There may be a mass exodus on the steps for POE2. Will people keep spending money on POE1? Not sure. Will they support POE2 when they are not playing it? No. So yeah, interesting few weeks ahead for sure.

Exactly, sure some people are sad that builds are getting nerfed, but honestly I feel that is what we should expect in early access, but the cost of respeccing it just way too high, the Devs should want people respeccing more in early access, the more we test the more issues we find!

@RaptorJesus. yeah, for beta, it should be free. Full release, they should still lower the cost of it. I think it's too high to begin with

I mean balanced for EA. I am playing with all classes right now (i got almost all in Act 2) and i don´t feel a Spiritborn in the game. Regarding the "players are supposed to give Feedback" I agree with that 100% but a constructive feedback and not "just complain and hate". Thx for watching!

combat suppose to be slow, its a matter of taste I suppose, to me melee combat feels weighty and deliberate, its nice. For someone who expects Path of Zoomies 2 - I can understand it being disappointingly different (but also it been stated many time that they want to slow down the game and make it more deliberate)

I personally love the pace of the game, but that’s just me. I totally understand those who prefer it to go in a different direction, as you said "its a matter of taste I suppose". I may agree with @ashocck8065 when it comes to crafting and loot drops (I think there’s room for improvement there). But for sure i don´t want to make it casual like uber uniques in D4 ;)

I feel the biggest mistake they did was introducing infinite dodge roll. Making every character play the same and removing the joy of building a build with evade skills. My number 1 issue with gaming devs today is how they always force mechanics from other successful games no matter if they fit or not. Soulslikes have roll, they are popular so lets just put rolling in PoE2 for no other reason than that must be popular because of Fromsofts success it must be rolling everyone loves when in fact it's the most annoying aspect of a soulslike as well in my opinion. Payday 3 copied Call of Duty armorsystem and everyone hated it. Just because a game has success doesn't mean those mechanics will bring success to the next game. It's pretty frustrating to see how out of touch devs are at times. I would instantly remove dodge roll from PoE2 and I would increase base movement speed of character by 10-15%. Implement some evade skills and this game would be way better already in pacing and flow. I don't enjoy the dodge roll playstyle in general, it is also extremely frequent and necessary. So they wanted to get away from PoE1 pressing m1 non-stop playstyle, and instead they implement so you need to spam spacebar, well done. Not a fan of the floaty strafelike combat either, moonwalking nonstop around enemies, it also make every class feel the same, when that look and feel seem most appropiate for a mage or archer but not so much the melee class. It give every encounter a strange jogging in water feel, does not feel or look right. Also having every character needing to backpaddel to survive seems limiting in how the game will feel. An archer or sorc played like that but because of the games difficulty every class have to go backwards in battle. I think it just corner the game into a very static feel where replayability will be less fun.

@@MaxYari Oh I know this is fully intended. I just think that the intent was simply wrong. For a small minority, it is great, and they will swear by it for possibly years. For the majority it is not. The devs acted upon their feeling that they know what ppl want better than the ppl themselves and imposed that feeling. Smacks of another company who shall remain nameless. Rhymes with Sh.... umm.... @@ashocck8065 you should also understand that you majority/minority split is based (not unreasonably so) on the current loud part of the poe1 fans who dislikes it. First of all we don't know which fraction of fans that represents (loud minorities are a thing) and on top of that they might break even bigger market by attracting people who were never POE1 fans but will truly enjoy POE2 (like myself). So statistic are really a wild shot here, we surely cant state anything bout that yet.

I also love number 4 (my birthday day) LoL. Of course you can prefer Diablo. The most import thing is you´re having fun.

No, I didn’t strategically pick the summoner class for comparison. 😉 I chose the summoner because I genuinely liked the class and happened to be playing it in PoE1 at the time.

If you're looking for something in the middle, i suggest you Last Epoch or Grim Dawn. You will have a lot of fun with both.

What frustrates me the most about Diablo (and I say this as a huge Diablo 2 fan) is that they have an incredible foundation-great storyline, iconic characters, breathtaking cinematics-but they veered away from the path that made D2 so legendary. They’re sitting on a pure diamond with the Diablo franchise, yet they can’t seem to deliver a truly satisfying product. I’ll give Season 7 a try since I already own the game, but to be honest, I’m not very excited. The truth is, I’m having way more fun with Path of Exile 2 right now.

In a couple of months. They already mentioned that will be the next class along with Huntress

its not hardcore, those are just loud tiktok gen people who want to get all content i minutes with almost zero time invested just scroll scroll laugh scroll again get dopamine or whatever asap. same with games just zoom zoom collect zoom and call it a day and if lets say poe2 was much faster with insane quantity of loot drops, same people would complain about different things like "oh why i need to buy stashes like in poe1 or whatever" im not super arpg player i played d2, d3, d4, peo1 some smaller arpg's just for, fun finishing campaign and trying out different classes\builds etc.., and playing poe2 is most fun i had with arpg in recent years its fun its interesting and challenging
