As a teenager I went to the farewell to the fox concert where George Wright plays the Wurlitzer. I have never in my life and I'm now 75 been in such a beautiful place as the fox! It was insanity! It was a masterpiece. It is unfortunate this is in black-and-white because gold was everywhere and red brocade on the wallpaper and the carpeting was red I believe this well it was just beautiful! I heard they were putting a parking lot in there. Somebody politically must have known" where the quote body was buried" to get this to move forward

Talk about an original this guy was amazing! I loved Michael Jackson but he didn’t in vent the moon walk like everybody thought. But he did modified it a bit.

Did MJ said he originated it? He paid homage to Jackie Wilson, Fred Aistaire and James Brown about his dance moves. I doubt he wouldn't have about Bill Bailey. All great dancers who revolutionized dance- actually many dance moved originated with African People when you really research. Long live MJ, forever a legend.🙏🏽♥️🌹🕊

This is a video of a farewell gala held for society types. There was another televised farewell show for the rest of us featuring The Smothers Brothers and Joni James. I don't recall the others. I was there with my mother. Unable to locate any video of that event. Must be out there somewhere.

Jeffrey Daniel, Jeffrey Daniel, member of Shalamar, in an amazing live... Daniel first performed "the backslide", a physically complicated dance technique, now known as the "moonwalk" on British television, during a performance of Shalamar's "A Night to Remember" on Top of the Pops. The song was a hit in 1982, almost a year before Michael Jackson moonwalked on the Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever television broadcast. He was a big fan of Soul Train - on which Jeffrey Daniel had been a back-up dancer. According to Jackson's sister La Toya, Jackson was a fan of Daniel's dancing and sought him out. He soon met, hired and learned from Dani kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3-nkIqPmctrptk
