So magical. The sounds of the frogs and the crickets too as well as those fireflies. We don't get any fireflies where I live.

When I was a child in Pa. in the 1950's- 1960's all our backyards were so active, we used to catch them and admire them...I'm still in Pa. and there are so few now. Sad very sad.

Great video and perfect music. Lightening bugs remind me of my childhood. My little brothers, our friends and myself used to catch them. I was fascinated by them. I never knew they were firelies until i was much older lolo I moved to Arizona and we don't have them here.

This is magical , it’s my 3rd time to watch this video with my 4 years old daughter.. i never saw a firefly in reality and now its in our wishlist to visit a place where we can see fireflies. I want to know where is this place ?

I live in the woods, on a hill in Taft TN. We had an amazing display of fireflies last night!!! I love fireflies… ever since I was a kid in California and read the book “Gus the Firefly”. It wasn’t until I went into the army and was stationed in South Carolina I actually got to view them. It was on our Basic Training night march I saw them. I thought it was simulated rifle fire and “hit the ground”. The soldiers behind me tumbled on top of me. It was quite a mess, but I got to see fireflies!! Decades later… I live in the woods, on a hill in Taft TN. Last night there was the most beautiful display of fireflies moving from the top of our hill to the bottom! I was thrilled! I expected to sit on our back deck and watch it again!!! What a showing it was. I haven’t seen so many in decades…. I will be on my back deck again tonight. I hope what I experienced last night will visit tonight and are making a comeback! This morning I am watching squirrels and Cardinals feed sunflower seeds off the back deck. Tonight I will see what magic the Fireflies have to show off!!!

This video is WONDERFUL ! I live out in the country in West Virginia and they are everywhere and even at 72 I have not lost my sense of wonder at how amazing these are.

If you want to see fireflies, you need to keep the falls fallen leaves on the ground and if you must remove them, wait until the temperature is at least 50 degrees f.

Your story makes me sad..sad because i remember growing up we used to go camping and find fireflies ..we break their abdomen for the glow and rub it in our foreheads...We did not know better..we should have cherish their magic and beauty without harming them 😢. I feel sad remembering what we did as kids. I feel more sad now knowing the population is dropping due to pesticides and pollution. We as a species have so much trauma to resolve and so much to grow before we can fully appreciate life in all its beauty, in all forms shapes and sizes.

Those fireflies are really cool. Unfortunately, here in California, we don't have fireflies. The climate is too dry.

A firefly got into the house tonight, so I turned off the lights and played this video on my phone while holding it up close to the insect to see if it would react - and it eventually started wiggling around and blinked back! So that's a thumbs-up from me and another one from the firefly. :)

When I first moved to the south I was in awe, I asked someone what those beautiful sparkling lights were in the forest by my house. They said they were fireflies! I guess I never really thought they'd be like that, they're amazing.
