Thank you for posting this. I’ve got a 2000 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner SR5 TRD V6 I just replaced my battery because it needed a new battery and had been parked for a couple of months. After I installed the new battery, I changed out the battery cable posts (due to rust), along with replacing my alarm sensor and ground wires. Had no problems with my girl starting ….but lo and behold my damn brake lights remained on whether the ignition was on or off. So now I’m about to replace the brake light relay / fuse located in the fuse box under the hood and replace the brake pedal switch. I’ve had my truck since 2000, so I’d much rather just replace the parts because I know for certain I’ve never done it before since I’ve been the only owner. lol But I keep her because she’s easy to work on by myself.

@ns671fr18 күн бұрын
Front if spacer is change to 3" spacer. Same as rear change to 3" block. For front either way its spring or spacer for 3" or coilover. Rear is 3" spacer or 2-3" lift leafs. Easy day

I hope someone sees this. I put a 6 inch lift on my double cab 2003 Tacoma and I got a one piece driveshaft with a local driveshaft shop here in Houston. I had to take it multiple times due to a driveline vibration when going 45 and up. They say it’s due to the angle but would it be the driveshaft or how can I fix this vibration. Any suggestions?
@fortunestatushawaiiАй бұрын
@@brucea.7100 Hey what’s up man, did you do everything all at once? Was your truck vibrating at 45mph prior to installing the 1pc drive shaft? It could be various things, could be the pinion angle or the driveshaft itself. Also how is your driveshaft made, does it have a double cardan joint?

It doesn’t make sense that changing the fluid would ever make any problems. 🤷♂️
@fortunestatushawaiiАй бұрын
I used to think the same thing but after tons of reading, there’s several theories which I can see could be possible. I guess over time (without regularly maintaining fluid changes) the clutch packs, hydraulics, and all the moving parts in your transmission ends up wearing out due to friction etc and they end up having excessive gunk build up that sits in the bottom of the pan or in crevices of the transmission and once you change the fluid the newly introduced fluid picks up the gunk and ends up clogging the valve body or pistons in the transmission. There’s that theory and another one being that the transmission may be toast to the point where all that gunk is most likely what’s holding all the moving parts together to they’re “acceptable tolerance range” that once those fluids get washed away the new fluid will now be too thin to have the moving parts within their proper tolerance range because of all the wear in the transmission. Something like that lol. I do feel like it’s true, cause when I had transmission problems on my 1st gen the first time, I tried changing the fluid and it just came worst. But the transmission was already toast and the fluid I drained out smelled beyond burnt so I feel like it would probably do the same for a transmission that is still working but on its way out. I feel like we need to maintain our transmission before they get to the point of making its way out lol.
