A few days ago i had a heat related problem from being outside in very hot weather i was vomiting and felt dizzy it was 4 days ago i feel fine now however im not sure if it was heat stroke or exhaustion and if it was heat stroke wont i have damaged cells how can i tell which one it was??

When I was doing HPV with my school I saw a 9-11 year old kid who was a member of another team seemingly suffering from heat exhaustion after finishing their rotation in the vehicle racing around the track and he was in the first aid tent next to our pit station where staff were trying to cool him with water and ice. Eventually it progressed to heatstroke and he had to then be put on a stretcher and taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance however he would of most likely survived the ordeal and made a full recovery thanks to the quick response of officials and paramedics at the race. It was also a very hot day with a maximum temperature of 38C.

I have a story to tell. It’s about me. I was born 4 months early and at 1 foot long. Because of this, I went through 17 surgeries at a young age and stayed in the NICU for 195 days in 3 different hospitals. I was legit on the fence, leaning to death. I am a senior citizen and because my body in aging I had to have surgery to correct it, the vascular surgeon went into the artery of my right leg and removed the blood clot without any difficulty. Both the anesthesiologist and the surgeon talked to me prior to entering the surgical suite. The doctor told me what he was going to do. I had a loose tooth in my mouth and they removed it during the surgery so there would be no problems of it blocking my airway. I was at Banner Thunderbird hospital and had excellent care and went home the same day!! I no longer have any problems with my right leg, a complete success!!!

Dr. Watanabe is a wonderful doctor and a wonderful person. My daughter Emily was his patient at Children's Mercy in KCMO. She called him wabietabie.... he never corrected her in the 5 years she was under his care. ❤

Went here for a severe concussion on my forehead when I was six. Fell while rocking in between some tables. I went to the emergency room but the concussion was so severe that I got transferred to the main hospital. Staff was very nice and kept me comfortable while testing me for anything more serious. Everything was good in the end, but I have a permanent bump on my head from it more than 10 years later. Thanks Phoenix Children’s!
