We watched your Catlins video, and now I'm getting ready for all the baby gear. I'm going super minimalist, but I think a stroller and a car seat is essential! I got an Uppababy Vista! What are affordable places to get baby gear in NZ? Where did you get the Spectra and is it worth it? I was thinking of doing a cheap manual pump instead. Thoughts?

Thanks for watching our video! 🙂 We got our Spectra S1 from Spectra Au website since the pump is not available in NZ. It is a hospital grade pump so it works wonders at the comfort of your home. For me, a hospital grade pump is a must have for its effectivity but nothing beats your little one. A manual pump might easily tire you out but it’s totally up to you. A portable pump would be great for travelling especially if you want to pump discreetly and when you’re on the go.

@@julianneandralph5093 Ah, I've seen it in the US and know of people using the Spectra, just haven't seen it in NZ so I was wondering! Everything costs so much in NZ and I'd rather just do the must haves!

I totally agree. I am exclusively pumping for a bunch of reasons so the hospital grade pump is a huge help for me.

hi , can i check for onsen hot pools, did you all get the indoor one , or the outdoor one? which would you recommend for an autumn trip down ?

Hello Debbie, we took the outdoor one at that time to get the best views and make sure to book ahead in advance if you are planning to do one because they are usually fully booked right through. Also, check the time of the sunset to get the best light. Enjoy!

I had an emergency C-section and I wasn’t wearing socks during the procedure. But after the surgery, I did wear compression stockings to prevent DVT.

Kids ear muffs to protect against loud noise, to prevent hearing damage...Fireworks’ loud bangs mean your kids need hearing protection.

@@joelineeaston6483 we also had a budget in mind and we were strict about it. Although It was difficult but doable. We chose things like we wanted to splurge on (photos&videos) and stuff we thought we can do without. In the end, it’s both going to be your big day and you do what feels best despite people telling you otherwise. Happy planning and congratulations in advance!

@@julianneandralph5093 If you want a name for your baby you could name her Genevieve if it is a girl because it is a beautiful name and it would suit the name of your baby or Christian if it is a boy and it would also suit and they have nice meanings as well. You want to have a baby that sounds good and nice to use. Your baby might end up liking a long name if you decided to do that. what do you think.

Hello Ate Kat, thanks for your lovely comment. Unfortunately, both are not pram accessible. However, Both are well maintained tracks and there is some stairs on the last part to reach both falls. You could probably use a baby carrier instead? And the tracks are not too far as well😊 when are you guys planning to go?
