When I got into collecting pretty heavily about 12 years ago. And I started getting a good amount of adult money XD I wanted an Alborozo. I managed to be the highest bidder at $160 for mine. He arrived with hoof rubs and ear tip rubs. I love him dearly and will not part with him even in body condition. I also have a blue Copenhagen custom done by Honey Devon Gibbons. And I would love to some day own one mint in box for the same reasons you said :D

There was or is a company called Royal Dolton and they made a sculpture called the spirit of youth, not going to lie its exactly like that model.

Sure Alborozo is great and limited and never going to be molded by Breyer again, he's pretty but I honestly love so many others more than him and I know that makes no sense because of how much he's worth but Breyer collecting to me is about what models I see that truly speak to me. Don't get me wrong I am a little jealous of you getting 4 or should I say 5 at one time and I can't even get one flawless Hamilton😭but I can't wait to see the results of your transformations of the two Alby's!

I have one signed by the owner of the real horse. It was on Ebay for $60 and a friend of mine hit "Buy It Now" instantly. This was around 2015 or so. Even then, I don't think the person selling it knew the worth of it. I don't think he can be shown? He's also a little scratched so no longer LSQ. I'd be interested in how much he'd go for, but it's also like "But ... but ... they broke the mold."

I traded a NIB Alborozo for a Nautical back in 2008. I loved my Alborozo. Unfortunately, I was forced to sell mine due to life issues. I regret it and want another one.
