Great idea! I like it! It could help right handed hitters like Mountcastle and Westburg... and switch hitters (like Rutchmann when he hits from the right side of the plate). I remember when Westburg hit a ball deep to left field in the post-season (against the Royals), which might have gone out if the fence wasn't so far back. There might have been talk about trading Westburg which I thought was insane! It will be interesting to see what happens.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of the fact that there will be a gap between the new wall and the old wall, and it won't be filled in with fans. Visually might be an eyesore, but maybe they will surprise me.

Stop worrying about the stupid left field wall and get Burnes, Coloumbe and Santander signed

It’s possible that the new Baseball Ops person (who brought the All Star game to Seattle) suggested that the crazy left field was a deterrent for such events (particularly for things like the HR Derby). I’m glad they did this. The Tigers had to put in a “new wall” front of the deep wall (like will be done here) because it was killing the right handed bats.

The left field was ridiculous. I’ll bet this makes the park more suitable for an all star game/ home run derby in the next few years.
@frankisfunny2007Күн бұрын
But I'll bet it won't shut up Yankee fans, though. Considering they love a short fence!

You have to sign Burnes if you have any chance of making playoffs.

No, they don't. They should definitely try, but the allure of Mets will be strong. We definitely need to improve the pitching in the off season tho.

The fact that only 190 innings in a season from a starting MLB pitcher is now considered "elite" is a sad testament to the current state of the game.

I'll never forget this day. Being there to watch Dick Bowie and The Crow go into the Orioles Hall of Fame, it was a pleasure. Watching my hero and idol Nick Markakis get in, that's a memory I'll carry with me forever. Orioles Magic was in the air that day. Jackson Holliday, Orioles future, coming through infront of Orioles past. I just won't ever forget this day.

You say a team has one of the best offenses when you just lead HR's, but that doesn't translate to generating offense in the playoffs. O's lack small ball, which you need to win the playoffs. Coaching was only part of the problem, as some fault is on the players. O's have too many power hitters. Regarding pitching, I'm already disappointed O's won't re-sign Burnes after trading away assets for him.

O's could obstain from trade market and sign Soto at 48-52 million per year for the next 10yrs, sign Snell at 40-45 million per year for the next 6-10yrs, and sign Fried at 25-35 million per year for the next 6-10yrs. This adds a 130-150mill per year to payroll. Time the O's invest big for future and begin WINNING numerous World Series over the next 6-10yrs.
@Methoes12327 күн бұрын
1st: FIRE Hyde! O's should offer Max Freid 25-30mill per/yr for next 6-10 yrs, Trade for Skubal and sign at 35-45 mill for next 6-10yrs, and Soto at 48-52 million per/yr for next 8-10 yrs, and stabilize this team for the next 10 yrs! It's time the O's Pay up for the future! Add these 3 players and win the World Series for the next 6 years! Roughly adding 130 mill to payroll per yr for all three to approximately 220-230mill per yr for next 6-10yrs. Winning the World Series repetitively will more than cover the additional expense.

Nothing Will Help This Organization. It's Cursed. It Cannot Compete When It Matters. This Organization Has Been Given Every Break In The Book Yet Fell On It's Face In The Last Month Of The Season. Make All The Excuses You Want. It Doesn't Matter. Fire Or Trade Everyone. Clean House. Start Over. Stop Making The Same Mistakes Over And Over And Over. Stop Torturing The Fans With This BS Propaganda. Admit The Obvious. There's No Difference Between A Perpetual Bottom Dweller And A Team That Can't Win A Playoff Game. Just Fire Everyone
