Sarah Deere-Jones should learn that it's *_"chirping"_* , not *_"cherping"_* , although it is a beautiful piece. For the spelling: 👎👎👎👎👎
@crazymangoz95835 ай бұрын
"Cherping" is an accepted title for this song. You should keep in mind it's a folk song from the 17th century and doesn't follow our modern standards. "cherping" as well as "larke" instead of "lark" can be found used for its title.
@sarahdeere-jonesmusic13905 ай бұрын
No - 'cherping' is the original spelling from the 17th century manuscript.

That reproduction instrument is AMAZING! You/Tim could so sell these harps! I I would buy one in a heartbeat. Just a thoguht. I did buy your Regency harp book. I have a Erat single action myself. They are rarer in the US but there are a few of us devoted enthusiasts here.

Thank-you so much for your comment, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Lovely to hear you have a Regency harp too, I hope you are enjoying the book? Funnily enough I have decided to sell my little Egan reproduction harp as since Covid I've had hardly any opportunity to perform on it, so let me know if you're interested. I am coming to the US in July to perform at the Somerest Harp Festival. Best wishes, Sarah x

To add to my comment of a year ago - this is one of my very favorite of your tunes. I'd like a score so I can play it! It's sublime and needs to be a theme song for environmentalists.

Beautiful lament thank you very much. Too many people to feed, have to use too much land for food - I hope I can do more to protect the beautiful green beauty of Cornwall, every old hedgerow and every oak tree is precious. Thank you. Lovely horses used to be so large a part of the rural scene, gentler world. Maybe it would be good to promote more horseriding for visitors to enjoy and learn from. Focus on protection of bridleways and keeping the quality of the country as good as possible. I hope to support this more.

Another wonderful gift. I have included your splendid work in my upcoming course for students - I am teaching poetry in English on the theme of birds, and there’s a small section introducing poems which are set to music. Thank you and God bless you again amen

This is very good indeed. You communicate the meaning very well, the voice and harp are beautiful. Please develop and expand this. You could sing Longfellow’s Hiawatha with harp accompaniment and your voice - it sounds very good sung, with pace and the right emphasis, (not too much rhythm on the lines). God bless you amen I listened again and I want to say thank you once again. You capture the message very well and teach us that Hardy was teaching God's love despite his pose.

Χρίστη ελέησον (Christi eleyson), from ancient Greek. = Christ, have mercy. That song have must sung a person that had a strong bond with Christ. Beautiful. Sarah, you brought that person's feeling very near to us. How did you feel when you sung it? Did you feel any connection with Christ or do you just like the music?
