Americans are always acting like the war didn’t start till they got there. The French fought the first major battles of the war. BEFORE the US got there. So this was NOT the first major battle.

It bothers me when people talk about war. Like when they say "we" are at war or **insert president** wants to go to war. The reason we fight will always be a mystery to most of us. But at the end of the day, you just want to make sure you come back with your buddies. Semper Fidelis brothers

As a veteran myself basic training is all wrong. They aren’t training you as they should be. Sure you should get smoked and yelled at but that’s all they literally focus on. The way basic training is doesn’t help new recruits at all.

Idk…kind of looks to me like it was civilian and they found an ied and were trying to remove it. Taliban normally don’t post up a straw hut with their family in it that close to an ied…and the wheel barrel guy was lucky, looks like the others warned him of the ied and he ran down the ravine knowing that if it blew up being below the blast is the best possible place.
