When in doubt, back it out. Way easier to hold your line with your stern into the wind.

I can see why that’s like the tides coming in you can see the current and I’ve been there plenty of times like that when not directly at that place butI know how That Current Will just pull you.

I'm a life time commercial fisherman and I dont mean to be ugly but this guy should not be trying to handle a boat with that much hp he's obviously too inexperienced, good luck tho ;)

Too funny -- I had the same issue on the same pump and also had to junk it because I couldn't get the end of the pump off the axle (lock nut is there but corroded on). Seems like that seal leaks and causes a failure often

you might try adding gas to the Primary rather than the Secondary side of the carb, since nothing flows thru the secondaries when you try to start it.

It has always amazed me that you need a special license to drive a truck, and have to pass a driving test to do so. But you can walk into a boat dealership without ever having operated a boat, and buy a boat!! With the expected results!!

Ridiculous. You don't buy a boat that is beyond your abilities, this guy is clueless and a threat to everyone on the water, total neophyte, start with a 20 foot or smaller after taking a boating course if you're this unseasoned and completely daft on what a single screw can do in a small space.

"Great boat, but ya need a new set of plugs whenever you leave the doc" ~ this guy😆😆😋 Good job staying off the throttles😊 If there's a current coming across the bow left to right (capt view) it would've been easier to drift the nose starboard and back out of the marina I'm thinking😎 Esp with no bow thrusters

Really not that bad looks windy enough to be a hassle. Might be a single screw at that size didn’t hit and boats barely tapped the dock

He’s down an engine! Operating a twin engine boat that size with only one running is a BIA, I know… I have a 36 with twins 500 HPs (no where near the power of this boats), I’ve done it and it’s not fun. So please don’t judge his driving abilities until you know the facts, and also have a bit of experience driving a boat of this caliber. Running a twin engine boat with one engine you’re pushing and pulling one side only so it is not as simple as just turning the wheel. Think about it, you have an engine pushing/pulling from one side only. I actually respect this guy for doing it as good as he did.

Nice video, I may have the same problem but now I know what to do to take it apart and find out. I like the comment of using WD40 and replace the bearing to fix the problem. But I wonder if that’s even worth it since they all seem to have this gasket leak issue. The problem will just come back eventually, right?

Hi William, do you happen to recommend how to the begin learning more about the Chrysler marine engines? I have two 440 Chrysler engines that currently do not work and want to attempt to start them up myself. Previous owner was a liveaboard for 5 years and had not taken out the boat to ride.

I've had two jabsco pumps go exactly the same way, it's not the motor, but the bearing you don't show in the video that fails, it's rubbish of jabsco to not seal the motor chamber properly, if you have one and it still works pull it apart now and oil the bearings and seal it properly with silicone before this happens
