The first shiny i ever seen when i got my first pokemon game (gold in 2001) was a shiny bellsprout. I thought it looked different, but i didnt see the shiny animation. I tried to run but i couldnt. I killed it. Later getting to the lake of rage, i seen the red gyarados. After seeing it was different and catching it. It dawned on me that i killed a shiny... 😢 Later i got silver and didnt want to kill any more shinies since i never seen another one in my gold version. On route 29 omw to mr pokemon, i run into not only a shiny ratatta, but a hoot hoot also. 😭 and for the rest om my games lives. I only found a butterfree headbutting at lake of rage, and a geodude. Now 20 years later i know the mechanics, and im ready to start my hunting..... what am i getting into...

I hatched a shiny smeagle on my first egg i wasnt even hunting it only breeding a low level one bc i thought i needed it to get out sped by wild smeagle to sketch a move. Granted it was hatched from a shiny ditto

I didnt think there were going to be that many natu. I was like maybe 5 and it took many encounters for the smeargle? Then halfway through the video I read the text and was like 8 SHINY NATU LEFT???

I gave up.. now I'm on SR 20k on ho-oh.. wish me luck.

I recently found my crystal version and decided to do a shiny only run. I found my shiny Cyndaquil under 300 SR! Hopefully shiny Wooper decides to show up in a decent amount of time 😅

No idea if anyone still sees this but Lugia was my first shiny full odds legendary I hunted for and I got it on my 222th try incredibly. I am, 3 and a half years later, going for my second full odds legendary hunt right now, Ho-Oh, and I am doing it with 2 DSs this time. I am at about 13k soft resets now

The shiny looks SOOOOOO good in gen 2 goddamn. I think im mostly happy with all current shinies that were changed from gen 2 but some are just way better in gen two. this is one of them.

Started my shiny Treeko hunt in Sapphire yesterday! Going from shiny hunting in gen 4 to 3 is quite shocking. The soft resets are so fast!

Lucky, I don’t have the patience to reset for those Shiny’s. I prefer to lay eggs 🥚 but I don’t have the patience for that either . Lol

Shiny Smeargle was the first shiny I ever encountered. Unfortunately as a kid I didn’t know about shinies so I one shot it thinking it was glitched or smthn
