I love everything about this video, the goofy side characters, minding their business and fueling ambient background noise of south east Asia. I love the subtle mystery of if she's actually working on the bike or just disassembling and reassembling (when she kicks it multiple times it is in gear and the tire rolled, it would never start in gear). I love this woman, so put together in her miumiu top and fila hat. determined to inspect every fine detail, her hands are efficient and fierce. I love Thailand, always the enchanting view, I long to kiss its soil someday. AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE THUMBNAIL <3<3<3

There are a hundred lessons to learn from watching this video but I will just point out five. 1. A woman can do any technical job; it is not exclusively a male profession. 2. She probably does not have much formal education in auto mechanics (or anything else perhaps!). 3. Pretty sure she doesn't have any documentation on the bike's components and it's assembly. 4. She doesn't have a thousand dollars worth of Stanley tools, cleaning fluids, and shop towels. 5. She just figured things out for herself; by experience, exploration, reasoning, and experimentation. Yet, we spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to send our children to a four-year degree in N. America only to have them graduate and not be able to figure out how to replace a flat tire nor understand the owner's manual. A lot needs fixing in our education system.

@@mhernandez9117 a mechanic is a person that repairs or maintains machinery. I think removing the magneto, carb and top end, in order to perform maintenance, qualifies as a mechanic by definition. I also believe people that get off their ass to do something productive should be given props not negativity.
