There is no inherent purpose to life, the universe, and everything. But that doesn't mean you cannot create purpose within your life. The only 'meaning' life can ever have is in what your involvement 'means' to somebody else, pets included.

Very true. I think most people's lives would be better without people pleasing. I used to be a people-pleaser until I learned about friends experiencing interplanetary complications and even though not a popular subject matter, I feel determined to help folks resolve it, and for some reason they think it's crazy!
@KateMacri4 ай бұрын
I agree, it’s hard to not think of others. And there are certain situations where we do need to consider others, but there’s a line between consideration and people pleasing!

Boundaries are so important and it's a generally untaught lesson for most of us. It's okay to say no. Don't feel obligated
@KateMacri4 ай бұрын
Agree 100% with this! It’s not always taught to us. I’d even say most of us are taught to lean more towards the people pleasing side so we have to learn as adults how to set those boundaries. Thanks for the comment!

Because your energy is mixing with everyone around. Most people are drained so they're draining and lots of people are energy vampires and get charged in crowds. That's why children can drain you with you doing absolutely nothing. They are sponges so think about who you're letting your children feed from😂

Yes absolutely to all of this! Stay away from energy vampires.

Mh, she wasn't talking about life. She was talking about her definition of success. Some people think success is just making money or being famous. She might define success as being happy with herself by having accomplished her goals. Maybe success for her means building a good family or community. Or maybe success for her means being healthy in her 60's. Or maybe it's going to some country to live there. I think you missed the point of the 30 second clip

This is a clip on finding your own personal definition of success, not about living a life only about yourself.

I agree that it is important to really talk with your partner and enjoy each other. Some weeks are harder than others because everyday life gets in the way, we need to consciously make the effort to support each other. This episode is a reminder to do that!

That can be tough for sure. "All or nothing" certainly isn't sustainable, and unfortunately a lot of people who live like that do tend to be in poor health :(

Incredibly strong words. Sometimes a job isn’t the right style of work for you, you can handle it up to a certain point, but maybe trying to find something new is for the better. You experience more and feel a change of pace. That being said, doing this can be very tough because livelihoods depend on a job.

Absolutely agreed! We talk more about this in our episode (and some others) - sometimes it can be important to find a new job. But, it certainly requires a plan!

I really enjoyed this episode. It was very informative on how we all have the power to get what we want out of life. It's up to us to believe it and live it. I like the way they are not trying to change you if you are happy with your life, they are giving you tools to use to help you make changes, if you want to.
@KateMacri11 ай бұрын
We're so glad to hear the episode brought you value. And absolutely - our approach is about "adding in" and offering perspective, rather than restricting and telling you what you should not do. Everyone is different, and lifestyles certainly aren't a one size fits all. Thanks for commenting!

We dont, knowing what things needs to get done we split it for things we dont like to do and the other doesnt mind - he knows i hate vacuuming (so he takes swiping the floor too) and drying the dishes so i just wash them cuz doesnt like washing them. I do mostly washing and drying of out clothes but i hate taking them out od the dryer and hanging them to freshen up before putting away, so he does that. Its team work/effort. People like to forgot that relationships are not always 50/50, slmetimes its 80/20 and other times its 40/60. Life happens but thats when communication skills play the role
@KateMacri11 ай бұрын
Absolutely! We talk about that in several episodes - relationships can't always be 50/50 and that's where the teamwork & communication comes in. Thanks for commenting!

Many couples achieve a connection so deep the man will just know to bring flowers to brighten his womans day. Anyway. What i found out is that is if both partners pour love into eachother they will get through all things. Since they build eachother up constantly.

@KateMacri Жыл бұрын
Depending on the dressing and what's in the salad, you generally aren't going to have to worry about your caloric intake as much with a salad since it's not heavily fried or breaded or oiled like a lot of things at a restaurant. Thanks for commenting!
@TheArcticMermaid Жыл бұрын
Depends on the salad. For example, there are 1420 calories in 1 serving of Chili's Quesadilla Explosion Salad. In my experience, a lot of restaurant salads are 600-1000 calories each.
