Just found channel will continue to watch, but just heads up parts dropping onto the metal lift kills the ears when using headphones.

Noted. I will edit that stuff out. I'm new at this video thing. And thank you so much.

@GearHeadGeeks Welcome, loved the video. My buddy and I have had to adjust sound on ours too. I realized it when editing some of our videos on our Second Chance Garage channel. I always try to sub and watch anyone doing motorcycle builds. I need to get back to posting regularly myself.

Thanks for the feedback. I need all the help I can get. I can ealily do the mechanical stuff, but the videos are challenging to say the least. I will take a look at yours.

Great work. Great to see people keeping the old bikes going and looking good. The X6 Hustler is a neat little 2 stroke twin that was pretty darned quick.
@GearHeadGeeks4 күн бұрын
Thank you, The Hustler belongs to a friend of mine and he is doing a truly great restoration, using almost exclusively OEM parts. It is going to be beautiful.

So you only nickle plated it and not chromed right?
@GearHeadGeeks5 күн бұрын
Yes, the nickel plating is durable and easy to maintain. Chrome plating requires dangerous chemicals and special prep.

Where to buy nickel plating solution?

I have the same snap on box

I just love mine, even though it doesn't have roller slides, the drawers are just so smooth and controlled. No need for a newer box.

Well equipped shop. Love that Snap-on tool box.

Thanks, I bought it new in 76, been kind of a Snap-on fanatic since I bought my first Snap-on screwdriver. As for the shop, it is a great place to spend time.

Nice workshop and nice tools everywhere. You worked as a professional mechanic at one point?
@GearHeadGeeks19 күн бұрын
Yes, in the early 70s and 80s. I was factory trained Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Triumph, BSA, Husky, ect. Worked in dealerships for a dozen years or so.
@K-carbon20 күн бұрын
I'm running the P 08 sprint myself Find it excellent Is there any particular reason your still running the stock exhaust system 🤔
@GearHeadGeeks20 күн бұрын
It is efficient, quiet albeit heavy. I seldom ride less than 350 miles each time I ride, noise is very fatiguing. That bike has 76,000 miles on it and my ears don't need any more damage.
@K-carbon23 күн бұрын
Interesting video you make it look easy working on this bike Out of curiosity how was the vavle clearest out much when you did it ? What miles did you check them
@GearHeadGeeks23 күн бұрын
Thank you, I checked them every 15,000 miles, and they were always within spec. Be aware that Kawasaki calculates how much the valves will seat and how much things will wear. NEVER ever set the valves on a Kawasaki before the prescribed interval or you will have tight valves. I was a factory trained Kawasaki mechanic and I went to Kwak school on the original Z1, and they were very serious about that.

Those videos are at over 6000 feet altitude. At sea level it lifts in 4th. And with the new Supercharger gear it will really start to lift a altitude.
