A surprise recommendation from KZbin. Cole was a cousin I unfortunately never met. I do enjoy his music, though.

these guys are good but they are incomplete. What i mean is they need a great bass player and another guitarist wouldn't be a bad idea. I know sometimes the more people in a band things can get testy but thats why you do your best to find not only a good bass player but one that meshes well with the guys already present.

Haven't checked back here in quite a while, but I'm happy to see: I left a hole. The video, the GRAPHICS...OMG! Not impressed. Oh well. This band is pretty interesting though, nice stuff. I wish I would have a chance to produce them a little, I think their sound could benefit from just a little more polish.

If it was acoustic you were playing, Its great. You need a bass player to fill in harmonies and riffs, and add some low end. Have you thought of creating bass guitar backing tracks?

Trying to be funny by insinuating that Martin Hayes was from Germany (at first), was actually quite a shallow insult. Not to infer that the "small mindedness" of Carol Boss is truly who she is, but one can only hope that she has learned to understand the historically cultural burdens that the Irish had to endure for over 700 years from their English oppressor! Martin truly handled her quip with both, class and elegance.

I had never even heard of this band. Then by chance I caught their act in Santa Fe on Saturday (7/23/2016). Now they are my favorite band. I strongly encourage everyone to go to hear them. As the note above mentions, they are now a quartet.

If you've ever wondered why this guy only need a bassist and a drummer in his band just listen to his guitar work and you'll see how much space he can fill with those licks. He can blow up a Telecaster. A true talent and a really nice guy. Years ago I wrote to him asking about his harp player and he was kind enough to take time out of his day to write a detailed email in return. Hang in there Alex...you're the best!

... nice touch for the introduction and conversational fade-away at the end ... that put these songwriters into their career context... and into the moment at the local community studio... unpretentious despite their accomplishments. Thanks for this window into the passing-through life of American music.
