Gravel is the worst. Dropped my naked bike just last weekend on some nasty gravel where i was forced to do a u turn and just totally forgot i was on the gravel after having ridden on it for quite awhile. Paid the price. Luckily it was just dust on the crash bar and my pride.

Some calls require an "urgency", but not quite to the point of constant lights and sirens, especially when it could be a burglar alarm where they don't want the suspects to hear the sirens/see the lights. Or, they don't want to alert the Krispy Kreme staff that they're inbound to buy all the fresh donuts...😂😂

About 2.5 months ago, I was riding my Yamaha V-Star 1300 when a semi-truck pulled left right in front of me. I hit him head-on at about 27 mph with both tires locked up. Thank Fenrir I had a dashcam that recorded the speed and the entire incident! The bike was totaled and it took them 6 hours to reconstruct my left leg. The video shows that he could clearly see me for 9 full seconds and then turned in front of me at the last possible second so there was no way to avoid him. I'm still going through medical stuff, but the first call I made after my surgery was to the Law Tigers, so I have a great law firm working with me on the settlement. It's my opinion that, as long as you aren't driving stupid, dashcams are the cheapest form of insurance you can possibly buy, no matter how much they cost.
@OnlytheStrongSurvive41621 күн бұрын
Ouch sorry to hear that happening to you. Glad you are alive and well, the recovery sounds rough, is your leg going to be alright? I am happy to hear about the future settlement. I looked up your bike and it looks nice. Sorry to ask but do you think you will ride again? I was thinking about a dashcam on my bike too, VIOFO does make one but every time I am on my bike I record via my Insta360 X4 so I won't bother with a dashcam on my bike.

@@OnlytheStrongSurvive416 -- Thanks for asking. Yeah, my leg is getting better, slowly but surely. I usually just "muscle through" stuff like this, but at 62, I'm fighting my body to slow down and let the healing work. My wife is 73 and currently bedridden because of a sever case of sepsis a couple of years ago. The thing that kept going through my head while I was in the hospital is "What would happen to her if the wreck was worse?" I've decided that I'm not going to replace this bike any time soon and IF I do eventually, it will be more for joy riding and camping and not for commuting. The unit I had on the bike is actually more of a dashboard. It had Car Play built in, so I can control my music easier, it displays Navigation, it has TPMS built in, a speedometer that's much easier to read, all sorts of cool gadgets. The video is actually pretty high-quality, too, so I really liked the unit.

Would you safely say that in Canada you purchased this device due to police dishonesty mainly ? That is why I have spent approximately $5,000 in cameras and drones in the last few years , safety is very important and to also protect your property .

Hello @northernplaytime, no there is no audio on the copy they gave me. Both Officers did not say they were audio recording, and they did not have bodycams.

I just spoke with a Durham Region Prosecutor and it was redacted because of privacy issues - the in car radio had in coming calls.

The passenger was a rookie and the reasons why it took so long to process the encounter. It would be a rarity for cops to show their targets any evidence but I have seen them do it a few times. I think I heard one of them say LiDAR, which are very accurate measuring 12 per second, excluding human error or tampering with evidence. The claim, "the data is erased from the speed radar gun after 5 minutes" may or may not be true. It depends on which model they were using which should be within the "discovery", but if not, you should request it before trial. Most manuals can be found through google, be sure the model number match. If the manual says otherwise, it shows the cop lied to you, which can be used against them. The procedures are specific, especially distance and angles. If the "USB interface" was utilized, it may provide more complete data than is provided in discovery. I have read new units have bluetooth and data retention of 6 months. I recall a scam in the US where cops had taken photos of the speed readings but were caught by the photo metadata. Seems to me it odd that a device this sophisticated can produce real-time data but can't produce it at the time of issuing a ticket.
@OnlytheStrongSurvive416Ай бұрын
🥇comment! I have already requested that and still waiting on it. The model OPP uses is the Stalker XLR Lidar. I am waiting for a few emails I sent to some suppliers.

OPP and QPP are some of the most corrupt police forces in Canada, I was beaten by OPP when I was 16yrs old simply because I told one of them to go fuck himself when they threatened me with a bogus charge just to try and scare me.

There is a reason why I cut out certain parts within that video, I can not share his personal story online so it was edited out. He has no choice, and he is always there once/twice per week in front of the grocery store performing with his saxophone. @@OnlytheStrongSurvive416 My point about a “hand up” was about the advantaged people who step over or walk by the poor and needy and don’t offer them a job but will give them a quarter instead! Not all people that are homeless are there because of their own wrong doing, sometimes it’s just circumstances or tuff breaks beyond their control and of no fault of their own that landed them there! Great advice for yourself! Always keep it in the “I” and not the “we” when speaking about life. Life is what I make it. It’s all about my choices and my faith. I seek the positives in life and I am thankful in everything! I realize that sometimes a difficult situation didn’t happen to me, it happened for me! When I make mistakes in life, I own it, learn from it, give thanks and keep it moving! However, everyone is entitled to “their own” opinions. 😎👍✌️
