@@dirtyimp1 you would be amazed what 6-8 lbs of boost can do,much less 20 !! lol. on a Stock motor !! plus if you do it the simple way,with a blow thru carb and a decent blowoff valve,it will be cheap and easy. you Can use the ebay el cheapo turbo kit,but you Will need to upgrade the bo valve and make your own tubing. chinesium matters ;) i had originally started mocking up one of my javs for a 454,but swapped directions to use a 350 with OD trans instead. that is the next one in line for the turbo scheme. ps,i dont know where you are located,but we do have a fresh machined 454 block and some parts in storage im never gonna use. some parts too,pistons etc etc no heads but other stuff. i was going to use it with a dead 454 for parts and go hog wild for the strip,but ended up with a good 454 and dropped that into the c30 instead.

It's the same coating that NASCAR uses to retain heat inside the header for maximum power and not to heat up your engine bay.

Sounds like good stuff! Although entirely different from NibOne Coating. NibOne is designed for quick cool down, and extreme wear resistance in high wear applications. It just happens to go nicely on hot sides also

Brother had a "67 Dart GT in the mid '80's 273 with 3 on the tree, 2 barrel. He built the engine up to D-Dart specs. installed a 4spd. That thing was a screamer, wound up fast, and we occasionally missed the second to third shift. Not sure of the RPMs on missed shifts, but it kept running. It didn't get the solid lifter cam and adjustible rockers but that motor revved quick, and would give my 340 a run for it's money. Side note 340 was a mild build, installed in a '57 D-100. 727 with a 2500 stall, and B&M shift kit. I miss the '80's

Good insight!!! Thank you! Partially due to the fact I built the engine, specd the cam grind, wired the car, plumbed the fuel system, flowed the nitrous , and tune the power management. Also, Phil will tell you its a stock 340 with a cam, and then pour 1200hp out on them. Lol. Someone has to speak the truth.
