Great video man. So do you as the Business owner always do the “physical work?” At what point in your Business are you going to just run the Business from far? I’m sure someone that wants to start a business is not doing it to be the “boots on the ground” guy. Can you give us a little insight in this? ❤❤
@proline_plmАй бұрын
Hey! JJ (that you see in this video) is our Operations Manager and has been with us for four years. It took about 4-5 years of owning and running all aspects of the company before it got to the point that I (Daniel) could back out of operations and put more focus and time into sales and business development. The key to being able to get out of the day to day as the owner is finding, training, and TRUSTING the right people to take over. I don’t think that I will ever be a business owner that “owns it from afar” as I enjoy being involved in the business. Now, my primary role is building our sales team and to be casting/implementing the vision of where the company needs to go. Hope this helps! - Daniel

What does a project like this run a square foot
@proline_plmАй бұрын
Every project is different as well as every company’s operating costs are different. We like to encourage people to price jobs based off of their own factors as opposed to an “industry price”. This is mainly because square foot pricing can swing dramatically with small factors such as if you can do the whole parking lot in one day, if you are buying your sealer in bulk or from a distributor, etc. If you’d like more information on how we price, shoot an email to [email protected]

Was this a double coat? From your experience what’s the difference between the spraying and bugee squeegee method?
@proline_plm2 ай бұрын
Yes, this was a double coat! In our experience, both the spraying and the squeegee methods have their advantages. Spraying allows for a quicker application and is great for larger areas, while a squeegee coat tends to offer a more premium and durable finish, as it works the sealer deeper into the surface, giving it a thicker, more even layer. Ultimately, it’s up to the client’s preference and budget, but we find that a squeegee coat, especially when combined with a second spray coat, provides longer-lasting protection!

@@campbelldosch3663 since every market/project is different, we have found it’s not best to give specifics on pricing. However, we can encourage everyone to figure up their time/labor, materials, misc supplies needed, and overhead it will cost them to complete the project and then generally try to achieve around at least a 50% gross profit margin.

I always shoot SW Setfast solvent based Do you like to shoot setfast on top of sealer I heard it yellows and you should use water based paint What type of paint do you recommend on top of sealer
@proline_plm4 ай бұрын
Yes we spray SW Setfast Solvent on top of sealer. If you are using Coal Tar sealer, it will burn/turn colors, and it sometimes does it on liquid petroleum based sealers. We use Asphalt Emulsion based sealers and it doesn’t turn colors when we paint 👍

Great job. I am thinking of getting into the business. One of my concerns is the health aspects. Are any of the seal coat materials bad to breath? I dont see any masks being worn while spraying. So in your opinion is there anything to worry about? What about getting the spray or material on your skin?
@proline_plm4 ай бұрын
Great questions! We currently use an asphalt emulsion based sealer. As with any sort of a product that goes through a manufacturing process, there are always health risks. However, this product is the least risky on the market. The only type of asphalt sealer that will burn if it touches your skin is coal tar based sealers. There are some areas that are starting to ban the use of that product due to the health and environmental risks it opposes. Our recommendation if you are getting into the business would be to use a liquid petroleum based sealer or an asphalt emulsion based sealer
