Thank you, very informative. Although I do pottery for many years, my si fu wouldn’t let anyone touch his kiln. I need to improve my knowledge, Thank you again.

I have the same set up with the same dials for the zones. I haven’t successfully figured out how to set these and would love an explanation!

Here's an interesting find my friends, I have an old kiln with a modern digital controller with a thermocouple. No kiln sitter. I did some firings without cones and then discovered that with a cone, the kiln was firing 100˚ lower than the digital reading stated. Its worth double checking that stuff on the outset. That 100˚ might leave a clay body porous or a glaze milky that should have been clear.

But it doesn't sync up with pre-existing meetings in outlook? Meaning, somebody can double book me if I already have something scheduled during a specific time-slot? That honestly makes this feature useless (even worse, counter-productive b/c I will have to clean up the scheduling mess that people will make).

I've found that if you put something in a bookings time slot, it removes that slot from the bookings options for the end user. This solves the problem you are pointing out.

Thank you. Many of us newbie have got the ltk3 and didn't know what to do. Other facilities use new kilns. Don't understand this older model.

Hi, I got grants and FAFSA and I have three of the 1098-T (2020,2021,2022) and they all say “Copy B For Student: This is important tax information and is being furnished to the IRS. This form must be used to complete Form 8863 to claim education credits. Give it to the tax preparer or use it to prepare the tax return”. I am a dependent and my family has a tax preparer who does our taxes, but I did not know I was supposed to inform our tax preparer about these; I thought that he would have already received the information through the IRS. I will send him the 2022 form when we do our taxes in a few months but what do I do about the 2020 and 2021 forms? My school has sent me online versions of them. Will I get in trouble for not have shown those forms in 2020 and 2021? Should I mention to the tax preparer that I didn’t send the 2020 and 2021 forms?

Yes you should tell your tax prepare they may have to go back and do an amendment. If you do an amendment it may take you a longer time to receive your taxes. Or you'll just use the 2022 tax form only To do your taxes this year.

I have a top lid type of kiln and my kiln guy said it’s a good idea to pre heat the kiln with a 1-1/2 inch opening for the first 1/2 hour. I forgot why, it’s been years since I got my kiln repaired. Can you explain this please?
