Why do you need miss and straw could to not just use other pliable stems of wood to form a circle?

I have a holly bush in my yard here in the US, I’m excited to use some! Thanks for sharing the instructions. And it’s the last week of Nov, so perfect timing 🎄

Great video 👍 and a fantastic idea for farmers during winter time. Thanks for the really good explanations 👏👏👏. Going to bring my nerdy boy outside to collect some Holly and try to make some wreath... Always useful to know how to do things ourselves 🧐 It reminds me, when I was a kid in France, during summer holiday we were going to our grandparents' place on a small Island (Ile d'Yeu). As we had time doing nothing, we went on the rocks at low tide to cut and collect seeweed with all the boys in our family. Then dried it under the sun and sell it cheaply to a trader who provided it to a Japanese corporation. It was a way for our family to earn cash and add a little food on the table. At the same time our parents were happy to see us exhausted 😝 and go to bed early 😴 We also had a lot of banter, shouting and running 😂. Thanks mate.

Howeria Snowwhite is very tender. I planted it last Spring and it took off beautifully and got felled by the bad winter. I cant say what a old established tree would have done, but you just dont really see mature specimens so I suspect, so I suspect not much better.

I planted a Hoheria two years ago and did well the first year had beautiful white flowers in spring. Last winter it succumbed to the cold weather particularly to the cold winds. An expensive project. Need evergreen screening trees that are fully hardy. My garden is quite exposed!

Such a useful video to help me decide. Thank you so much.😃 You presented the exactly plants in the shape, forms, height, against the wall, I was searching more info about for an evergreen screening.

Your one of the few with tough enough skin to do the holly. Maybe I'll try. So uniquely decorated like something out of Christmas past.

Can you trim a bushy Portuguese laurel up the stem to make it lollipop shape or does it need to be grown like that from the start
