Tuned correctly these things make decent power and minimal/no smoke. GKR Performance in Oswestry, Wales is the man to speak to he does remote tunes too 👌

How come you say it’s 385 and no smoke I bet the dpf didn’t last long on this I’m guessing
@michaelakachunk6 жыл бұрын
WASIM864 mapped correctly you shouldn't be getting much smoke at all. A decent mapper should never pump a shit load of fuel in all that will do is raise the EGT's which of course will destroy, not only the DPF but the turbo turbine wheel/housing, cast manifold and injectors too. Lots of smoke indicates lots of fuel which will give high EGT's. Power can also be achieved with the correct manipulation of injection time, fuel pressure increase for better atomisation, and of course getting the AFR's right too.
@michaelakachunk6 жыл бұрын
Also, DPF is absolutely fine, I recently removed it on the never ending search for more power haha 😂😂

@@michaelakachunk who did the map?
@josephstevens40327 жыл бұрын
Had mine for 3 yrs now and its still intact. My only complaint so far is that my idle bounces since installing it and I had to turn it up to keep it from bogging down under 750 rpms. I'm going back to stock when this clutch is done.

exact same thing just happened to me, flew to bits when i was driving my ep3 civic, shat myself! luckily i was basicly outside my house and doing 25mph. and i have no choice but to buy another one, considering spotting a weld from the bolt to the ring gear. :/

Yep...could have been much worse but the map is setup to pull the timing hard should anything like this happen. That's why it only saw a 120mph trap speed.
@michaelakachunk11 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's a shame Manny :( but at least it wan't anything worse and it's now sorted
@manny300zx11 жыл бұрын
Interesting video...Great capture! All of my timing was pulled at the 1/8th mile so the car really didnt keep pulling. Temperature went sky high right before the tank gave out. Seems like there was a bad weld on it and it gave out. It was fixed on site but then the rain came :(
@michaelakachunk12 жыл бұрын
@highQuality30 See my previous comments for why you cant just bolt it back
@HighQuality3012 жыл бұрын
you can place rings under the bolts and will be fixed?
@michaelakachunk12 жыл бұрын
@Leofred2000 Unfortunately not they are constructed using a heating treatment, the ring gear is made at an interference fit to the flywheel itself, the bolts are a 'just in case'. what I Can tell happens is the flywheel itself gets very hot, cools fast but the ring gear expands and contracts at different rates of speed, so I guess I got it very hot, it cooled down the flywheel I've then started the car when the ring gear is still warm and at a larger size to the flywheel this then moves the gear
@michaelakachunk12 жыл бұрын
@GearHeadHero, I did call them a few times and got near no response or even a resolution to sorting it, I wouldn't have minded shooting it back to them but all they said was "that's screwed then" and "well we can sell you another"...... suffice to say I'm far from happy with their products or customer service.
@Leofred200012 жыл бұрын
Isnt it just to change the bolts to some stronger with a different head shape, and it will be fixed?
@GearHeadHero13 жыл бұрын
Did you happen to call them? I know several guys using Fidanza with no problems. One of the guys did break his loose using a high torque starter that wasn't aligned right though; he called and they had him send it back and re-installed the ring gear for him for free, he just paid the shipping cost. Just cause you had a bad experience after a year of use doesn't mean they s***!
@mend16813 жыл бұрын
Just took mine out of the car 2 days ago as it was making steel-to-steel noise. Was surprised to see the ring gear movement from flywheel body. Hex bolts were loose. Damn. Some comments in other posts say "you didn't put loctite before installation"...but I'd thought that factory assembled products (that didn't come with thread locker) are plug and play just like factory assembled cars which are pay and drive away, no more loctite needed. Will never buy F***danza again!
