I never believed the charges against Rolf. He seemed to have got swept up in the furore of the Yewtree tsunami with precious little hard evidence and, it would also seem, by the avid hunger for prosecutions and convictions at the time. I still entertain the fancy that Rolf and I were remotely related as we have a Welsh background and no doubt this plays into my conclusions about his more than probable innocence. I do realise that guilty parties can present a false face to the world at large, but somehow it just doesn't stack up with Rolf. And now, having listened to the testimony of this PI, my position has strengthened. RIP Rolf - I know I am not the only one who still loves you.

The work is that of Vikram Jayanti - known for "his gonzo choice of subjects," and producing "high-profile television documentaries with his signature combination of eccentricity and amazement". The BBC billing was: "Rolf Harris dreams of painting the hilarious tryst between Titania, Queen of the Fairies and the donkey-headed buffoon, Bottom, from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. So Arena invited supermodels Lily Cole and Lizzy Jagger and actresses Emer Kenny and Dervla Kirwan to pose for him as Titania. As he paints them he recalls his 57 years as a singer, musician, artist and regular fixture in the lives of millions". The "regular fixture" reference was in line with the BBC policy - also manifested towards JS and indeed HE - of ensuring that at-best dubious and deeply-flawed figures were not just pushed forward a bit, but were DELIBERATELY lionised by every-possible-effort associations with the FLAGSHIP programmes of the BBC - hospitals, art, charities, helping kids with their dreams, and all of that stuff. In that context (though obviously not in general), it does not even matter if all the worst stories are true - what matters is that we have been force-fed with these celebrities, whom we are encouraged to idolise and expend vast amounts of energy on, only to feel a far greater feeling of disgust, let-down, distaste, guilt, shock and so on when stories and feet of clay are revealed. The fact that the same can be said of a number of celebs (again we might think of PS) means that we go WAY beyond random chance. This is a process and a policy being pursued, for whatever reason. David Icke (I think actually quite wisely) would tell us that that vast contrast of emotions between the high and the low is NOURISHMENT for dark forces and - ridiculous though that might have seemed - I think it may really be true...

If you were one of Rolf's friends, I extend my condolences to you on his sad passing. It's such a shame he's not being remembered as the gentleman he was.

I'm also doing my best to encourage others to look beyond the headlines. Very few want to know, they are happy to accept what they're told - but eventually I'm sure the truth will come out. In the meantime, it's lovely to see Rolf enjoying his home and family in his last days. Thanks for sharing.

I remember seeing the supposed evidence against him.... It was obviously fabricated and it is disgraceful that it was presented in court. Juries should be tested for common sense before they are used. It was a witch hunt. In his own way, Rolf Harris was a victim of Jimmy Saville.

My Grandma sang this to my Mom. It always made her cry. And now I cry, missing my Mom so much.

Not just lost his house, reputation and health - some of his artwork in Australia was torn down and destroyed. His legacy was totally ruined. It is absolutely terrible what happened to Rolf Harris.

What about the child porn on his computer, there was no doubt he was guilty of that.
