Quite some guy. Impressed!! Always thought his bass line on london calling was remarkable. He'd only been playing about 5 minutes, apparently, and out it came. It's like a declamatory trumpet call. These paintings are really a surprise. I love the bacon and eggs

I'm unable to stop crying. Same age as Terry. Saw the Specials at the Hope & Anchor in 1980, did every date of the 2Tone tour in the UK and support the Who at Hammersmith Odeon (I'll never call it the Apollo), went to the reunion at Brixton, saw the Fun Boy Three at the Hammersmith Palais in 1982 with the Go Go's...the Specials were the band I had the most emotional connection to. The music was fantastic, the lyrics cutting and Terry's vocals were perfect. His phrasing, his own sardonic and at times fiercely angry tone will never be bettered or equalled. Not being hyperbolic, just spreading the word. R.I.P Terry Hall. Gonna miss you big time.
