How lucky are we that we got to grow up with the ABB and now that we're on the homestretch of our journey, we have awesome musicians like this to see us through.

Happy for your long journey, a blessing. Bill is the right medicine for our current art expression climate, he brought it back home. It seemed we couldnt find the ground for a while there. Thank God these kids are looking for substance, my 16 yr old daughter doesn't listen to anything after the late 90's and cares a lot about the musical quality of a song. Enjoy your journey🙂

Billy is one of the most consistently fluid improvisers ever. His ability to instantly transpose his stream of melodic thought onto the fretboard is almost in the savant realm. And what an incredible cast of musicianship embracing him on stage. Joyful Noise indeed!

Yeah, jeez, why would people get excited and be overwhelmingly emotional during such incredibly good music?? I'm sure Billy would prefer everyone to stand motionless and not make a sound in reaction to his efforts. Stay home and listen to a record🤦

Never been to a Strings show? Its a rowdy rolicin" party. If you want a quite place to sit and watch a show look elsewhere. This is for people who enjoy music.

Yeah I’m with you. Every concert I go to it’s like sitting in the middle of a church social with all the inane chatter during quieter songs. People just need to stfu. You don’t need to talk about everyday bullshit during a show. You are crapping on everyone around you when you do that. To the general public, music is background noise with a chorus we can all sing along with. But fans of music actually want to experience the show, not coffeehouse chatter.

I love how you can hear the crowd say the “alright” part in Ramblin Man during the apex of song like Dickey did in album cut. RIP Dickey and thanks for sharing this memorial from Billy.

I don’t know what you mean by the apex of the song, but could it be you are hearing them cheering when he substitutes “old St Augustin” for Nashville Tennessee?

Just heard this song on WNCW (Asheville)...by John Hartford, of course! Also cool to see JW playing guitar. I love the VERY rare occasion when they switch up instruments.
