Well, as an average Joe Bloggs i sort of understood some of those words. Anyway, on to political correctness. I am one of those people that thinks it's gone too far. My experiences are this: The nursery rhyme Baa Baa Black sheep being changed. At no point is the fact that the sheep being black seen as a bad thing. If there was any historical connotations to it being so they're lost and not relevant today. Not one single child will grow up thinking black is bad because of that nursey rhyme. I grew up singing it and i can't see anything bad about someone being black because of that song. My workplace. Before this debate, 6 years ago was made, my workplace tried to ban the use of the word 'tranny' when describing the operator of a particular type of machine known then as a Transtainer. A machine that's used to move shipping containers. As an operator you would be known as a tranny driver. As a machine there known as trannies. This has nothing to do with someone being transgender. The word tranny happens to also be used to describe someone who is transgender. Using the word tranny in context of our work environment was never used in a derogatory term towards any transgender employees and i fail to see how a trans person could be offended when the work use means something completely different. Employing people at my workplace not because of their skills or suitability but because of their ethnicity or gender identification. More than ever our company have put people in danger by employing people that are unsuitable for the job but fit a certain racial or gender profile. How discriminatory is that? Just straight up insult to those people.

It actually is part of it based on a Pew Research Poll from 2021 that found that 73% of Americans found Fox News to be part of mainstream media. The debators on the munk debates should keep in mind that what can seay the audience can have a lot to do with your conduct and whether or not it was respectable.

You know how you know if you can trust a media platform? If the media platform can point out good and bad from both sides of a subject such as politics. Ill give an example. FOX news. Now fox doea tend to be conservative yes. However. They make fun of trump and point out his flaws just as they do with biden and kamala. Now are more negavtives to point out with kamala? Yes. But they do it for both sides. While leaning conservative they still remain non biased. When interviewing trump they throw hard ball questions at him and when kamala fi ally did a fox interview they were hardball with her too. But when cnn for example interviews republicans they throw hard balls but when interviewing Democrats, Specifically kamala they only throw softball questions her way. Which shows clear bias. You know if you cna trust a media platform if they are clearly not biased to an ideology

Jordan says free speech is a power game based on your group but isn’t that wholly dependent on where that group exists? If I live alone in a forest and choose to speak on something, who listens? No one. So is my speech truly free? Or is it just loose and waiting for some ear to hear it? If you have a forum, what if someone just decides to set you on fire for speaking on something? Does that mean my speech is truly free because I am a martyr to my words? Is that word I spoke and died on released on my death to be forever embalmed on life’s grave stone? Or if I’m speaking to my Mormon church, everyone agrees with me, I am the word of my people. Is my speech free then because my group continually and completely encapsulates my every word? What part of free is really free? Define freedom first. Freedom is different for an atom and a human. An atom is trapped in a body. The body is trapped in the world. The world is trapped in the solar system. Ad infinitum. So can we actually be truly free ever? Is it possible?

I wish we had started the whole issue this way in Europe. All who want to help. Ok. You take a refugee or more (how much you van handle) and take care of them. Help them integrate and you pay for it. The food the clothes. Education like language lessons are free. There is no financial help. But if it does not work out and the refugee does criminal things he gets deported and you take the legal charge like jail time. For at least 20 years. This would have make sure that integrations works in my eyes. And to make sure our values dont get conflicted by people joining our countries and trying to establish for example a muslim like state

Michelle Goldberg was disappointing previously and sadly did not improve. I was very disappointed with Malcolm Gladwell's performance which was whiny and distracting trying to denigrate Matt Taibbi by focusing on the minor Walter Cronkrite comment. I think most of us expected a much better performance by him.
