Ah I love the Central Market. The amount of fresh fish. The spice store. The coffee house nearby. One of my favorite nights was at one the restaurants along the outside. Brings back memories.

I always get excited when I watch footage from Athens, a city that I liked a lot. I came across the market by chance and it was a pleasure to see the variety of seafood being sold. I also saw Omonia square with a big fountain

Bringing back recent memories of my time in Athens in Nov and Dec. I love the Plaka District. The cats of Athens are so chill. The ruins throughout the city. The twist and turns of the neighborhoods. Absolutely amazing.

I enjoyed this walking tour through the streets, shops and market area. Seems like there is a lot to do here and I would enjoy having a coffee or beer at one of those cute patios. Do motorcycles and scooters go through the walking areas often? I saw a few do it here.

This area looks very familiar to me - I think we were here as part of our cruise tour in 2016. I'm going to have to go through some photos to check now! Lots to see there.

I like the narrow walkways but it looks like there are a lot stairs to go up and down there. Also it appears to be plenty of restaurants down that one walkway. Are there many cars there?

I love a nice walking street. There are so many shops and cafes to stop at. I guess it could be dangerous for your wallet 🤣. This is the second video I’ve seen recently of this area of Athens. I take it as a sign that I need to visit.

I was in Athens three years ago and this video brought back memories of a city that left a good impression on me. We had dinner on the Plaka stairs the first night. I think this is Omonia square at the end with the big fountain. 2:38 Monument of Lysicrates. The Global Village reminds me so much of how the Bazaar was setup in Istanbul. Do you have to negotiate pricing there? And ok Dubai is one step up from Istanbul with the live performance!
