I agree that the details required for APA can be frustrating and time consuming to complete. The requirement for APA goes beyond plagiarism concerns, though - it's about providing a consistent format for readers so that they can identify parts of your paper - and the types of resources you use - easily. it would be like if every book was put together differently - upside down, backward, etc. Obviously the consistent format is more important at the graduate level, but this is good practice.

I hate APA. I know how to do it but really its just a waste of f*****g time IMO. Want proof I didn't plagiarize? Just post the damn web links you used for research under your paper. Done.

@danirochey An abstract should be a summary of your entire paper in about 75-150 words (the Purdue OWL says 150-250, but this really depends on the length of your paper). You will probably start with your thesis but you should also make note of your methods and results (albeit briefly). The abstract follows the title page, and starts with the word Abstract, top-center (your paper should already include the paper header). The abstract is not indented.

My teacher wrote on our project "Remember, this assignment is to teach you to write papers in a professional manner" .... we spend the whole class talking about random bullshit, then you get this handed in the final two minutes and she's like OK ANY QUESTIONS? GOOD BAI SEEYA

It may easy for some people but it's pretty tough for a person who never used it!! I hate it, really. I just don't understand why my teacher wanted us to use this to do her assignment and didn't explain anything about it! Kind of suck and I have to go everywhere to find and try it. I'm going into my second year of college and believe it or not, I have never been properly taught how to do a research paper. This video was easy to follow, I loved the notes in the right corner on the screen and I actually could follow alone and make the perfect paper. Now to get the body of the paper correct.
