Any one notice over the last couple of years, Gary looked out into the crowds. Sometimes he motioned to an audience member. He absolutely very rarely did that in the decades before.

My inspiration for teaching myself to play. Since I was 15, I wanted a les paul, solely because gary played one (even though he has an SG here). I just wanted to make it to see him play before he passed, and got to do that at the coca cola 600 in 2022. Didn't even care about the race; bought tickets only for those 4 songs they played.

Is this the best vocal performance of Bohemian Rhapsody? I think so. Freddie actually hits a ton of the album notes that he doesn't hit in most other performances.

He hits a Bb4 on "GONE" in the first verse. This is probably the best version of this era, though Manchester 1975 is really good too. But in most of the Crazy, Game, and Hot Space shows, he sings the whole line on Bb4s. Cologne May 6th 1982 has him hit nearly every note, including the C5 on "leave me to DIE." Same with Newcastle Dec 4th 1979. That's probably the best version of the song

@@chewymew Interesting. I checked out these versions. My favorite version is probably the very first time they played it live 11/14/75. Freddie doesn't hit all the notes but he sings and plays it with so much more feeling like he isn't sick of the song. As an example he tended to play the piano notes very staccato as time went on, especially in the 1980's. With the 75 performance it is so much more like the album.
