Hey! Thank you for short video and explanations! Please consider upping your output mic volume since it feels like 6-12 dB less than average (which is not critical, but may be uncomfortable for some users). For me, it's like that, but I need to add ~30% of volume just to hear anything what's said.

Thank you so much for the kind words and for pointing that out! 😊 I really appreciate the detailed feedback about the audio. I’ll work on increasing the mic volume in future videos to make sure it’s more comfortable for everyone. Thanks again for watching and sharing your thoughts-it helps a lot!

Toxicity comes from the top and trickle down. Furthermore these top management needs to get cost down by driving out expensive resources. Due to industry laws, ridding out these resources needs to done without legal consequences. Like you said, another reason is incompetent people is at the top and they gain their edge through unethical means at the expense of others. To fix these, companies needs to replace these managers with AI that provide fair merit base systems.

What somebody who works there can do? Be the small change where it counts. Treat other nicely where you can and show your boundaries when you are being pushed around. Even if not enough this will be a small action towards the right direction

The word you're thinking of is "utilization". The corporations want maximum ROI on humans. You are dehumanized. They keep you spring loaded with tasks using ticketing systems. The idea that Agile liberates the employees to manage their own work, or contributes to better balance is grossly dishonest. Any job where the term "sprint" is built in is disgusting. You don't have to be a left winger or communist to want a decent workplace where people are treated with kindness. The only thing you can do is search for the rare company where people are treated well, or choose another field and leave this to the poor H-1B workers, condemned to work 15 hours / day. 7 days / week - all while being harassed, micromanaged and threatened.... "Corporations are private tyranny's, the worst kind of tyranny" - Noam Chomsky (paraphrased)

Well, let's hope so. However, I think it depends entirely on the business models of the Ultra-Billionaire Tech-Bro Collective. If that tiny handful of people decide that AI will replace software engineers, then I'm pretty sure they will make that happen. It completely depends on what their design goals are. Right now it looks like their business model is towards AI-Replacement rather than AI-Augmentation. But like Jaron Lanier once wrote in "Who Owns the Future" (2013), maybe our best bet is to ask the TIny Handful to be nice guys. I could not stop laughing for three days after I read that "solution" from Jaron. And as time has proven, his analysis was exactly spot on as to what they were doing, what they planned to do, and how it would turn out for everyone... but his solution was completely naive and utterly ridiculous. Ask them to be "nice". LOL. Anyway, yes, I think it depends completely on the business models of the Tiny Handful, and that is all. If they want to, then in a few years not only will there be no software engineering jobs, but there will be no jobs anywhere for anyone, as Elon aptly pointed out a few years ago. So, we'll see.

Thanks for the effort, but it feels like you're missing the whole point. You don't explain anything what will happen if one of the nodes fail to respond or why the protocol looks the way it does. I think you should remove this video, or maybe replace it with a proper one, to avoid wasting people's time.

Thank you for the honest feedback-I really appreciate it. I see your point, and I’ll take this as an opportunity to improve. I’ll revisit the topic, address the missing details about node failures and protocol design, and ensure the next version provides a more thorough explanation. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts-it helps me grow!

Instead of assuming a tool will replace the person who uses the tool, isn't it more reasonable to assume the new tool will make its operator more productive and simply replace the status quo of a developer rather than the role itself? People use to code by punching holes in cards and feeding them into a huge machine. Compilers and source code languages allowed devs to be much more efficient at their real job--solving technical problems. Yes, those tools replaced what it meant to be a developer but developers just adapted to incorporate such tools into their workflows. The idea that a tool will make it so that *anyone* can be a developer now and thus it's no longer a job is silly because anyone can be a developer by just doing it. I read some books years ago and am now building financial tech in Rust for startups--0 formal education because it's all about determination and being willing to truly think logically. The reason why managers hire developers is because they often don't want to be forced to think in logical details (they often prefer high level business concepts) or they just don't think it's worth their time. They probably could make simple projects using Copilot even now, but my managers still think it's worth it to pay me to use the tool because I'm more efficient at using AI tools because I already have experience of computer science. Please don't repeat "AI will replace software engineers" because it sounds very ignorant in the context of computer science history and make it seems like you haven't worked in the industry enough to speak authoritatively on this subject. And remember that tech CEO's opinions are biased because their stock valuations depend on people believing in AI hype.

Hey 1st comment! To state that AI will replace mid and junior engineers means that all engineers will be born senior level... which is a fallacy. What AI will do is raise the stakes and change what it means to be a junior level engineer.
