When I was a kid, I really hated Bembol as he’s always playing an annoying villain in action movies. Until I became aware of him being a dramatic actor and one of Brocka babies. Such a great actor indeed.

Bembol is a gem. His debut turned out to be the greatest philippine movie of all times.

I love the shade to Star Cinema. Philippine cinema has degraded since they entered the film business.

Maynila Sa Mga Kuko Ng Liwanag is one of the best films of the 70's. I remember watching it at Capri Theater along Avenida Rizal in 1976.

I finally able to sit, listen and watch this interview wd Ms Cherie....the veteran actors are flexible and passionate with their crafts. When they did films, they left a dent in those films. In every characters they portrayed, there’s Justice... There’s also longevity in their career, as matinee idols, they had growth and move on as better actors and kept learning and gets better and better. Which doesn’t seem In The actors now a days. Once they move on with pacute trend, they all just come and go and just typecast in their loveteams or roles or romcom, walang depth. And new gens come and go..yes they count followers and likes and virals videos because of social media but it doesn’t define their crafts. It’s still how you act and your credentials as actors unless you have connections ( nepotism).

Ms. Cherie Gil is a gem of Philippine Cinema. Truly the best and can be aligned with Ms. Nora Aunor, Lolita Rodriguez, Charito Solis, Marlene Dauden, Rita Gomez, Gina Alajar, and Ms. Vilma Santos.

The actors in the film were so versatile and professional. They are all iconic, and in my opinion, no one in this generation of actors could do acting better than theirs. They are genuine artist and very passionate in every film they do.
