I find that using personal experience, even if it's only vaguely related, makes it much easier to write! Even if it's just something like taking an experience of being on a long plane trip and translating it into a long space voyage :)

You have a permaculture garden??? That is so cool! At the moment I am away from my garden, but before I moved, I had some chickens and ducks wandering around under banana and papaya trees :) I also had a lot of graden beds with all kinds of different types of vegetables!

1: Pretty much the same I think. I'm not a super adventurous person and I don't think an extravagant lifestyle would be for me so I reckon I would live pretty much the same but a bit more comfortable. More than anything, I think my production would be amazing haha. Your answer sounds so charming though. 2: I know this is boring but, I pretty much like where I live. It's a really small town with lots of green areas and my flat is like five minutes away from the town center. I couldn't deal with living in the country. I'd be way too scared. There's something comforting about living amongst quite a lot of people, but not as much as a big city. 3: My family is my partner and my cat. I don't think we're going to have children. It might happen one day but not right now. 4: Uh, I don't really have work hours. My job is basically just writing and narration these days and that's pretty much what I've always wanted to do so I'm pretty happy. 5: I'm fairly okay with how I look. Honestly though, sometimes I wish I was just invisible. I lost quite a bit of weight last year and people starting approaching me in public to say that I looked great and it was so embarrassing :') When I'm out and about I want to be left to my own devices. Also, "radiant health" is a nice term. Your answer to this one was just charming Wow, your anti vision was crystal clear. You really had that one mapped out. I honestly don't know what my anti vision would be... I think maybe a world whre I put too much pressure on myself and become so burned out with my writing/narration that I just quit.

That's an interesting thing to think about! I often use snippets of my personal experience for my stories, even if it's not exactly the same experience. E.g. in my scifi, though I'd never been on a spaceship obviously, I could use my experience of being on a 30hour plane flight to try to realistically picture this emotion. Though it's not the same experience, I feel like the similarities helped me write the scene better. Some of my characters also become similar to some of my friends as I write :) I find that writing scenes for which I have relevant experience for (even if it's not exact, or just "emotional" experience) is much easier than ones I have zero experience with.

Good luck with your story! I think writing slower has its advantages, the second half of my novel for nanowrimo turned out super messy and I'll spend more time editing it than I would have otherwise. For me it was the holidays from university as well, so I had plenty of time to focus on my novel. This is the reason I am only participating for the first time this year! Things just lined up very well this year so I had time to focus on it. Otherwise, I usually had exams. I really need to focus on one thing at a time, I have trouble spreading my attention between many different things. I don't know how people with full time jobs do it! It sounds like you gave it a good go and did a fairly good job all things considered! I hope that the rest of your story goes well :)
@stephaniedalportofantasy

I've gotten back into the habit of writing daily via NaNo this year, but I've learned a lot about my process too. What works, what doesn't. I discovered that the Pomodoro method does NOT work with my brain, for instance.

I hope nano has been going well for you this week! It's ok to fall behind, everyone writes at their own pace :) I've found that although I'm going faster than I normally do this month, the writing isn't coming out as clean, so I'll have to do much more editing! So I think writing more words isn't always better :) Good luck and I hope nano goes well for you, whether you end up reaching your goal or not! Also the cat is so cute! I had to rewatch that segment because it was so adorable

I love the Bewitched nod and hairstyle change. haha Crazy question - do you play guitar? I noticed the nice acoustic in the background. And, I wouldn't beat yourself up too much over Nano. The mere fact you got something done is better than nothing. And, you're doing good with the video. Just keep at it. You'll get better in due time. And, you don't need to have a bunch of fancy equipment. I had a follower who hit 100k subs using the cheapest camera setup and NO video editing for his videos. Look at me on the other hand...I have all the fancy equipment and am somewhere north of 77k subs. Start with where you're at and upgrade as you go. Keep up the great work. I'll keep an eye out for your next video.
