I have wondered about this stuff. I have a Newer GMC and it is surprisingly well sound deadened from the factory but I had a 12" on a true 1500 watt amp and when there is real punchy bass, the rear roof sounds like a gong being hit hard. Its a bit funny but very irritating. I have some sound deadening tape that I used on the overhead light console (the only thing that rattled in the truck at all and the only noise other than the gong roof) and it worked great but my inner cheap bastard refuses to pay for that overpriced sound deadener that seems like adhesive, foil, and roof patch. May check this out this weekend.

maybe undervolting tru an hanging fuelpumprelais which is supplier for the fuelpump as also the supplier for the current of the engine wiring .escpecially when you know the componentns are fine and the codes walking tru the engine wiring loom after replace certain things inside this engine wiring .i got this problem with my MAF in the 1.6 AHL ,then next it says was the lambda ,then the N80 .it turns out 2of 3 contactlips inside the fuelpumprelais not closes properly or been clogged so that there where to less current for all components and as far the car runs ,the fuelpump takes away the current from all of those actors and sensors in the engine wiring that was not be able to work sober ,cause all the current was sucked up alone by the fuelpump ,which also takes away the the current from all these important parts .i changed components of hundrets of euros ,at least it was a simple fuckin relais for 25 euros . if you got a wiring harness plan ,check the exits of the fuel punmp relais ,one goes to the fuelpump ,i think it was s29 which splits into an Y-cable ,the other is the 12v+ to the engine loom .greetz from dortmund .
