non of these are real fences besides the first.. i am trying to build a fence like in old ark... the wooden fences that can go around the outside of foundations, like what you'd find on a balcony. where have they gone?

Ok thanks. The video was to show you can use other pieces to make fences instead of just the fence foundation. My current base has a fence I used with sunken stone foundations and walls.

simmilar to my pyramid, just i found 24x24 is ideal layout, including deep water pen in the basement. Imo big gates inside pyramid looks better

Good build. I would personally slap WD 3015s on the back to get that 180 base speed. Also a porthole on the back wall. Role play wise, it is a 2 crew ship, so your hab still has the bunk bed on the left wall. With the freed real estate on sides you can get Vanguard Obliterators.

I'm playing ASE instead of the reworked ASA. Correct me if I'm wrong but: - First one (foundations): follows terrain closely and the gate can be snapped to it. - Second one (fence support): Doesn't follow terrain but stays level (good for going for a constant look). Gate is a bit finicky. - Third one (pillars): Really finicky, but can stay level. Gates do NOT snap to it. Looks really good but I do wonder about the resilience of that. If a dino or a malevolent player goes against it, how long will each last?

Not my typical style, but looks pretty good, especially for a Class A ship. (I like a simpler, unimpeded approach to the bay.) The only real problem I have with it, other than having an indirect way to walk to the landing bay, is that, from the cockpit, if I exit the ship, I'm being put in an area that is about 3 steps in front of the bay's ramp, which actually interacts with the 1x1 directly ahead, and I get stuck. If I walk to the bay hatch inside of the ship, then exit that way, I'm good to go. From a strictly R.P. perspective, taking as few shortcuts as possible, this is a great in providing the best protection to the most vulnerable part of the ship when landed. (No ability to fire into the open landing bay)
