I hate how the only reason he was killed off was because they wanted Squirrelflight to love Brambleclaw instead, and ig they had too much chemistry (they only spoke like twice but apparently still had better chemistry than bramble and squirrel)

I love how the whole fandom is just in agreement that Shrewpaw would have been an actually amazing husband to Squilf. He barely got to two sentences but her struggled with squirrelpaw while they slept for one of them and Ashfur and Bramble is awful, so it makes sense and I love the idea, SquilfxShrew all the way, I just think it’s pretty funny.

I don't know what made me think of this, but I have the feeling that even if we folowed canon (+Shrewpaw living) Shrewpaw would've ended up Squilf's mate. She wouldnt have had to hide the three from him because he loved squilf for her and considering her canon options he's a saint. Could've been an absolute power couple without power imbalance, and Shrew just is good. Deserved so much better. I might dream up a whole AU about it, make it feel like how Thrushpelt loved Bluestar. The kits bio parents never mattered, those are his kids.

ugh i legit remember reading in tnp where i think the warriors came into the camp alerting that shrewpaw got hit by a monster. i don’t know if it was my imagination or if it was canon, but i feel like squilf was so guilty and upset because shrewpaw was dead. also the shot of shrew and squilf literally hurts because they would have been better than ashfur or bramblestar (they both suck.)

My headcanon as to who gave Squirrelstar her 9 lives -Firestar -Sandstorm -Leafpool -Dustpelt -Shrewpaw -Dandielionkit -Juniperkit -Ferncloud -Hollyleaf (That’s all I can think of, if someone can think of someone Squirrel knew who passed on, that’d be great). EDIT: Just added the ninth cat. Can’t believe I didn’t think of her when I originally made this comment. Sorry to those who said Feathertail.

i agree! he didn't have a chance having a good life (just like most of the characters pff) but what seems sadder to me is that, he desperately wanted to catch prey for his clan and didn't think about his safety :( means, a real warrior
