I have listened to this song more than once a day ever since I discovered it over a year ago. I never get tired of hearing any version of it and he never plays the same solo. The dynamics of his solos and how he puts so much of his soul into it is just incredible to me. With John every solo is him speaking through his guitar telling a different story every time, not something I feel many appreciate enough. Enough rambling, just my thoughts.

There are a few songs that JM rarely plays back then and nowadays, Covered in rain, Walt Grace,... The reason said by the man himself that he considers these songs "perfect" and he's afraid that he might ruin them if he plays live.

I've listened to Mayer religiously for 15 years and this is in my opinion is one of his best songs. Great performance.

@@2911sagar Probably because Gravity is relevant and relatable at every/any stage of your life but Covered in rain is specific to early 2000s. Also, I have yet to hear a bad song by Mayer that includes some bluesy solo

mmafan2223 i went to two and both that i went to he played this !! jersey and syracuse he played it live and i about died this in this video that’s why the camera pans up as soon as he starts cause i fell from excitement
