Its a poor start before winter. I build the forestry first, then clay pit and thatchery. Next I build the farmer and manage to have enough time to get at least 2 plots of land giving me food. Then comes the 9 houses. Next you need smithy and carpenters. After this, is a granery and then townhall. All this can be done before the end of winter. After these are placed you should build more houses. Use the granery to buy food from your residence. But make sure you lower the price to 20% and then you can resell at 100% the cost. Doing it this way, you can get away without borrowing money.
