Why not use an oil extractor? Seems like a lot of unnecessary work crawling under the car to drain oil.

Fyi. If you ramp the front, there will be excess oil that won’t drain due to the drain hole facing forward. Either you vacuum it like a dealer, or use a yoga mat to go underneath.

Hi why did you change your filters was it because you were getting a fowl smell in the cabin or you just wanted to change them out, the reason i am asking is because my 2015 ml350 is giving out a fowl odor sometimes and a parts mechanic told me to change out my cabin filter and dust filter to see if the odor goes away, if not it could be my catalytic converter that is going bad....

I bought some special needle pliers from Amazon..much easier to install

I've gone with Purflux only as well. It's the exact same filter as the MBZ part.

Very helpful video! I'm driving car with 1.5 DCI and there is ls946 Purflux which is almost 2 times cheaper than the Renault OEM filter. I'm sure they are the same as well because the Mann replacement filter references the model number of Purflux

Les deux filtres sont pratiquement identiques on vois bien sur la vidéo que c’est purflux qui fabrique le filtre pour Mercedes. Tant qu’à faire le purflux est moins cher que celui estampillé Mercedes.

Start the engine 60s n check the oil level , don’t pass the max or just drive it n check it out after (sitting) of 1hr later ! Should get the correct oil level at least for 2.0 TFSI engine, No pass the MAX or a bit under is 👍 on flat position

Its a Purflux filter in a Mercedes box. And for a Mercedes price. An expensive box 😂

I just bought a Q3. I tried to check the oil level but couldn't pull the dipstick out. It has two hooks on the ends, and the engine was too hot to use my fingers to undue the hooks on the dipstick.
