Hadde økt inntekt til Staten ved økt salg av strøm (til Tyskland) gitt oss billigere strøm her til lands så kunne man ha skjønt det. Men... når vi premieres med like høy pris som Tyskland så er det vanskelig å klappe for den norske stat! Og så opplever man at utbygging av nett, til vindparker og ut til oljeplattformene, gir ennå høyere strømregninger for privatkunden i dyrtid! Norske hus og hytter preges av masse energisparende ledpærer, vedovner og varmepumper, men takka er at om man inviterer gjester til middager, og derav presterer høyt forbruk 3 timer i måneden (av 730 mulige) -så premieres man med 209 kroner ekstra om man vipper så vidt over til kapasitetsledd 5-10 kWh! Applausen virker kanskje ikke overdøvende?

Vannmagasinene er i øyeblikket ganske så fulle og elvene flommer som bare det, også den timen det kostet 13 kroner/kWh! At det snakkes om at det i noen enkelte timer ikke er nok nettkapasitet eller manglende strøm (eller manglende vindturbiner) er bare tull! Hadde det vært tørke nå så kanskje det kunne godtas. La oljeindustrien betale propeller til havs! - de har 20.000.000.000.000 kroner, og det er de som driver opp nettleia og økt kraftbehov! Vindkraft på land driver også opp nettleia når vindparkene skal knyttes til eksisterende nett. Og dette er det vi vanlige folka som må betale! 😢

Ok that means when there is a high wind and power demand is not more so we use the additional power to pump the water from lower to higher reserve in order to get hydroelectricity when there is more demand for electricity but less wind.

Maybe make towers over the ocean (or floating towers) and use gigantic buckets full of seawater as gravity batteries.

Pump water out of the Salton Sea at night using geothermal energy and produce hydroelectric power during the day by adding Pacific ocean water to the Salton Sea. The surface area of the Salton sea is 343 square miles. There is a 225 feet of elevation difference between the Salton Sea and Pacific Ocean. They have already bored a hole in the mountain between the imperial valley and San Diego to transport fresh water. They could drill another one for this battery storage idea. Another advantage is you effectively reduce the high salinity of the Salton Sea while improving air quality of the imperial valley by covering the entire dry lake bed.

What is green power? the real true definition of green power is not the one stated by the media or the gov forums these are only a catchphrase. the REAL definition of green power is whatever energy was needed to remove it from the earth and ship it then refine it engineer it THEN assemble it to sell it to you (which by the way is a shed load of power) Must be recouped. Then the life of the item must in the case of wind or solar be long enough to make twice the energy consumed in its manufacture AND at end of life never see landfill. As things stand wind and solar are NOT filling any these standards a basic internet search will show wind turbine blades being cut into three and dumped into landfill And solar panels are also in the same boat for avoiding landfill Now your saying my new electric car is Green Right !! Well No it is not look at the car and remove all the plastics and fiberglass or carbon fiber from the car and it's life AT BEST is 8-10yrs then a new battery is needed. a cost that is not going to drop anytime soon. Now as for running costs may be low but your purchase price is not the true reflection of the cars true cost to make it because of the gov rebate! (brand not withstanding) So your in a car that has 20yrs of life so about 200thousand ks on the clock then dead due to cost to keep it running due to wear and tear low battery capacity Ect. Now i drive a 2002 Landcruiser v8 second hand $16k to buy @100thou ks on it and with good maintenance will run up 300 thou more and be more recyclable. In the uk the river Avon needs to be covered with solar panels this would one generate power and reduce temperature in the water improving water quality a life saving for fish and plant life there this can be replicated over reservoirs and lakes even helping generate the electricity needed to pump the water from the reservoir before the energy is needed at peak times
