Themes like this remind me why I like your album more than normal DS3's. Of course, no disrespect, you get bodied in the department of best themes ( the best in ds3 vs the best in Arcthrons) but in terms of overall quality and consistency, this takes the cake. Like Curse Rotted Greatwood just can't compete with any of the themes in this album... it's just the demo. There's prolly gone be more bosses and current themes will likely get rearranged 🥶🥶🥶🥶

After a gruesome and perilous journey, the Chosen Undead finally reached the end of the Kiln. Once in there, he found Lord Gwyn sitting down right next to a bonfire. The final bonfire you had to light in order to keep the world going. But as he kept advancing he found that the once mighty god of Thunder and Lord of Cinder was nothing but a mere husk of his grandiose former self. The hollowed Lord didn't even need to turn around. He knew why he was there. - "Welcome, Chosen One. I've been expecting you" -he said with the last ounces of sanity he had left. The Chosen Undead at first froze right then and there when he heard him talk. He hesitated before giving another step closer. Gwyn, as if he knew that his words startled the champion, reassured him that he only wished to talk "before he decides what to do next". And so, the Chosen Undead stepped close to the bonfire and sat down alongside Gwyn. And they just... talked. They talked about everything that has transpired up to this point: the ending of the Age of Fire, the Pygmies, Kaathe, Frampt... and what will happen with the Flame. The world had to continue, it has to be this way. The Chosen One couldn't allow for everything to be in vain. After hearing those words, Gwyn felt his sanity finally about to give up. And so, he and the Chosen Undead rose up. "Very well, my child. Then if this is your decision, then let us end this farce once and for all. But know this: whatever happens here today, it will not be end. Whether it is this world... our ourselves"

With the outcomes of both of their stories, both dead and gone, this image and theme makes me so sad. They could have had the glory and strength of Empyreans, they could have waged war across the Land Between and beyond in defense of the rejects and outcasts they adopted, but no. Malenia was stricken with rot, doomed to eternal pain until either she died or Miquella cured her, but Miquella just... gave up. He cast aside his sister and their nearly infinite potential to chase godhood for himself, only to be felled by the same hand that felled his Blade. What a sorry tale. Both of them, given infinite potential, but never truly able to wield it. They could have had spears and shields, armor and lightning; they could have been a swirling maelstrom of justice overwhelming their mother's Golden Order with skill and logic... but it simply was not to be. The Tarnished would become Elden Lord, no one else.

I feel like his lore is he helped souls crossover but when the abyss came, he got corrupted, and now sees the player character as a wandering soul wants to cross over to the other side

The only one to best the Gloam-Eyed Queen while she held the Rune of Death. The only one to make every demigod hesitate at his name. The only one whom even Godwyn the Golden might have feared. All other Rune of Death weapons were white, or grey, perceiving death as a holy thing, or as a neutral force. Maliketh was the only one who saw that particular Rune as something dreadful, something painful, but also something necessary. He did not rationalize it. He did not excuse it. But he wielded it without fear, and without regret. To Maliketh, death was dark. Black. And so was his blade.

This actually sounds like the soundtrack that would play if Godwyn's death was in a movie. It truly suits the kind of shock, horror, and awe that would be present among those watching Godwyn, a demigod, an invincible hero, the larger-than-life heir to the Golden Order and the whole world, die.

The notes on some parts of this track are a bit random and unnecessarily bouncy. But I can appreciate a lot of the experimentation on this track, especially around the beginning - to middle

Coming back to this, was wondering if youd ever do a battle theme for marika. I mean we got one for radagon in the base game but man. Imagine how cool marika could be! She is the god queen after all

This is just phenomenal. I hear this like everyday and feel really good with this :) And yes this music alone makes this Boss even more replayable than before and less depressing as I can hear this song over and over again.
