"If you want a professional career in the arts and you're from an area like this, there ARE hurdles, and you are gonna have to work harder than everyone else" combined with a shot of him literally flailing and getting boosted up and over a ledge by his brothers is a funny bit of editing but also sends a very sweet message about the success they've found together <3 love these guys, shine on WV!

I've been following your work since before the waterfall book was published. My daddy was a professional photographer and it has always fascinated me. I am forever grateful for discovering the beauty of WV back in the 1970's and discovering your work. It was also great to hear about your story in more detail. My husband and I consider Tucker County, WV a dear place in our lives. Thanks so much for sharing WV with us.

I could never have the amount of pride for my home town in AK that these guys have for their home town. maybe they see the best in it even despite it's problems. it's kinda inspirational.

My dad grew up in Ashland, KY, which is basically on the border of KY and WV. His favorite pizza place, Everoni’s (probably spelled that wrong) is in WV, and we go there when we visit our grandparents. It’s a few towns over from Huntington, and it’s crazy to me that my dad was growing up just a short drive away from these boys. He’s about Trav’s age, and I can’t wrap my head around the fact that, if my dad had lived just a town or two over, he may have me the fucking McElroys. I really hope they get to do Candlenights this year bc my mom said she would take me!!

This was beautifully edited and fun to watch. The McElroy brothers are such inspiring people, which sounds corny but it's true. I'm also from a rural area so this video really means a lot to me. Thank you for creating and posting it!
