I took the video of the 2001-130 today that replaced the Thunderbolt 1003..... The 2001-130 has issues, let's just say that. Louisville has strange 2001-130s so far from what I've experienced, including the nasty one not far from a Thunderbolt 1000.

It's a 4M blower that has some kind of weird rattle or something to it. I've always been told Olmsted is the loudest Thunderbolt left in Louisville - interesting to see that you thought this one was that loud!

Interesting! I recorded "old" Olmsted (platform mounted) and "new" Olmsted (as it stands today) and neither shook my bones like this one!

I grew up in Louisville, with a 3T22 literally in my back yard, at the former Lake Dreamland station 2 (now PRP). They used to set them off at noon every day but Sunday, and for fire calls.

In theory it’s only 2 RPM faster - the old rotator was set to 2RPM and this one is set to 4RPM. I say in theory because they’re very rarely right on the dot - usually they’re a little slower
